  1. Apparently the MLBPA isn't happy about this and advised him not to sign it because it could hurt everyone's arbitration salaries in the future.
  2. I like that he has a different arsenal than Hutch. Variety in the rotation is probably a good thing?
  3. Phew! Glad we drafted Ricky after all then. LOL
  4. Looked up 1993 standings and stats leaders Was reminded that even though Olerud hit .363 that year, he DIDN'T have the highest BA in baseball. Quiz: Who did?
  5. It hasn't been. It's been decent and is better when Gose plays. Defense all around is solid. Better in LF, 2B and C than last year.
  6. That's the thing, of course. You really can't trash another team that's been that successful after you've finally gotten ahead of them for all of a third of a season. (But I probably will a bit anyway because I'm enjoying it LOL)
  7. This BP write up makes me happy actually: 13. Toronto Blue Jays Farm System Ranking in 2013: 13 2014 Top Ten Prospects: Link State of the System: Despite a recent penchant for using prospects as currency to acquire major-league talent, the Jays system remains thick with high-ceiling players on both sides of the ball. Top Prospect: Marcus Stroman (27) Breakout Candidates for 2014: Miguel Castro and Mitch Nay Prospects on the BP 101: 3 Must-See Affiliate: Low-A Lansing Prospects to See There: Alberto Tirado, DJ Davis, Chase DeJong, Jairo Labourt, Mitch Nay, Matt Dean, Rowdy Telez Farm System Trajectory for 2015: Up. The Jays have some of the best young prospect depth in baseball, and as the short-season talent start to develop at the full-season level, the system as a whole should jump into the top 10, where they are likely to stay for a very long time.
  8. True BP ranks Jays 13, Rays 26

  10. Today's comments from AA and Beeston actually regained me a little bit of respect for the FO Though yeah, I always saw us becoming "the Rays with money" and we never got anywhere near to that ideal But they DID throw a talented (if incomplete) group together and they're fun to watch. I'm really enjoying this season.
  11. Jonn, just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... - - - - - - - - - - - - - and totally redeem yourself!
  12. After all these pinch hits and defensive subsitutions the Rays on the field now look like the saddest group of also-rans in the majors
  13. But I paid $130 for MLB At Bat. And the Android version is great on my Galaxy S4.
  14. Yeah I'm hating this too Looks horrendous and the interface is worse
  15. Weak ground out I think you're right
  16. Phillies losing badly again to the Mets
  17. Boston has reduced deficit to 3-2
  18. Among qualified players with enough innings played: Bautista UZR/150 10th out of 21 among all right fielders (38 of 69 for all OF) Cabrera UZR/150 13th out of 18 among all left fielders (59 of 69 for all OF) So for Cabrera yes he's a bottom third defender by UZR. Bautista is actually average.
