Refs are very clearly rewarding aggressiveness above all else. We need more double teams (which they've started to do) and hard drives ourselves. The last few possessions were pretty good.
It definitely hurts, but we basically played last game without Trent anyway who was probably hurting us out there trying to play through whatever it was. I'd like to see us come out with Precious and Boucher in the starting lineup and see if we can counter some of the rebounding. That's what killed us last game.
Ryu is hard to get on the same page with as a catcher and he likes to get his pitch quick. Kirk has more experience with him than Collins who may not have caught him yet even in bullpens. The bigger question would be why Springer isn't the DH instead of Collins.
It's a mistake, but in that situation and with the current score it's not really all that terrible. Getting a runner into scoring position there is worth taking some chances. The Chapman mistake last night was far worse.
