  1. Yep, there's gonna be a strike.
  2. If we can go 3-1 against the O's, we'll finish the month back at .500
  3. Nice, quick, clean inning. Still don't like the decision, but good job by Rogers.
  4. Not a huge fan of Rogers here. The Marlins are a team that can beat out those nubbed worm killers. Would prefer Varland to finish it out. Use Rogers against the Orioles.
  5. Dunno. Marsee is lightning fast. Pretty hard to double him up even if perfectly executed. He's hit into 3 total in 450 PA.
  6. Let's get out of here without anyone getting suspended and further causing us roster grief.
  7. Not too sure what to make of that. Where is that "This is not the reliever you're looking for" meme when you need it?
  8. I doubt it. It would be different if it was an arm or leg injury.
  9. I think that would be tough. They're going to want Valenzuela getting regular reps, and he probably catches 2 games a week behind Kirk.
  10. FFS, enough with the hit batters. At some point you have to send a message, even if they're unintentional, don't you?
  11. Miles coming into today had a 2.17 ERA, and 3.05 xFIP. How the hell does a pitcher with only 4.1 innings above rookie ball over a 4 year period come in and do this? The numbers aren't a fluke. He really is pitching this well.
  12. That splitter? has some pretty wicked movement on it.
  13. League average this year is .239 with a .705 OPS. That will likely improve as the batters heat up in the summer, but there's a lot of good hitters who are having a terrible start to the year.
  14. Poor Yesavage gets all those runs hung on him, although it's worth noting that the walks didn't help.
  15. Clement has the 3rd lowest K% out of qualified batters (behind Hoerner and Arreaz).
  16. Can we just stick EE in the lineup? He's gotta be better than Sosa even now, right?
