    He was apparently more of that kind of batter a few years ago, then the Jays decided he should be able to hit for some power and wanted him to swing at everything and learn to hit home runs (not kidding). He may or may not have been at a different spot in his development anyway, but I place blame for the power bat stuff on the Jays rather than him.

    He may play 10 years in the majors and never hit a home run too lol. He also puts up disturbingly few doubles. I considered taking him in the BBDL, but wasn't sure his bat would contribute enough to be worth it.

    There appears to be some interesting results when you look further at his numbers within the zone last year, in particular the noticeable reduction in fastballs in the lower third and the dramatic increase in sinker/cutter usage. It seems that contributed to the higher SwStr% but also more meatballs.

    He probably isn't worth that much, but it depends on what else you can get and whether it can be better spent other ways.

    I'd probably keep Mauer, since he should qualify at C but get full playing time.

    It's been in a few of the other threads, but it should have been here instead.

    I suppose you could change both (losses to W/L ratio and K/9 to Starts). That might balance things better. If your draft is in a few hours though, it might be too late to do it this year.

    I think I'll pass this year (I want to make sure I have enough time to put into the leagues I'm in), but I'll reconsider next year. I think maybe I'd consider changing losses rather than k/9 to something like Starts or possibly even W/L ratio.

    Roy Halladay pitches for the Jays this season, Dickey and Hutch both post ERA's under 3.5, 3 starters post > 200 innings, Lawrie is top 5 in WAR among 3rd baseman, Goins puts up 2 WAR, Lind hits over .300, and the mods force me to change my avatar to a dunce cap after the season when I get no predictions correct.

    Hill having a rough day on this surface. He should be used to it from all those years with us.

    No one can possibly compete with Kawasaki on interviews. I agree that I like Lind's honesty though.
