Trade to announce: To TCA: Yakupov + Teravainen + 1st (mine) + 2nd (BTS) To Abomination: Byfuglien I'm still open for more moves. Looking for a good goalie and/or one or two high end forwards/defensemen.

The issue is that you'll probably have trouble getting a better one. Even to replace Bernier with a comparable goalie will probably cost you twice what you paid, unless it's a guy in his late 30's. Basically, no one is selling, and there's probably 10-15 managers who are all trying to buy

It's not really overvaluing goalies, is that most of us undervalued them.

I traded Craig Anderson for Nichushkin in September. As much as I really really like Nichushkin (who's been out all year), I probably could have gotten a hell of a lot more now.

If you want a top level goalie, you're probably going to have to overpay significantly (to the point of absurdity). Even suggesting equal rank probably causes the other party to hang up the phone.

I'm also thinking about buying (but not positive yet). Have lots of high end prospects (Mantha, Perlini, Kapanen, Lazar, two 1st round picks plus BTS' second round pick, which should be mid-round once I knock him out of the playoff picture, and guys like Yakupov, Dumba, and Teravainen). Again, not 100% sure whether I'll be buying or not, but looking for a high end goalie and several elite level players if I do.

One thing we're doing in the BBDL is that as soon as your turn comes up, if you don't have an empty prospect slot your worst pick evaporates and the window moves to the next guy. That means the draft still moves along without getting hung up at all, but the pick you had can still be traded.

I shouldn't be this year (which is actually kind of pissing me off, since right now the high draft pick is probably more valuable to my team). I've been insanely lucky, but who's to say it won't last a few more weeks? I AM actually within striking distance of the last playoff spot.

There's almost no reason not to for the right matchups. How many times a year do you see a catcher leave the game due to injury? If once or twice a year you lose the DH for a few innings, it's probably no big deal. -

He's still averaging 93-94mph. A drop from 94.7 to 93.8 isn't likely to explain the xFIP and control going insane. A minor injury, however, would.

How about his 2012 and 2013 where he posted 3.07 and 3.35 xFIP and 2.47, 2.75 SIERA?
