  1. You mean the one that isn't being updated by anyone? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gmrnLvPPUwdpITeT9t7uwqrucdws2fN8uRRJv_sosGE/edit?usp=sharing
  2. I have two guys ready to go too! Might have to take 12 hours to decide which one though.
  3. I've been trying to learn some new web app programming (using React). Maybe a new site would be a decent way to practice it. It wouldn't be for a while though. In the mean time, we could probably take a copy of the BBDL one and repurpose it. It's a bit of a pain to add new names to the owned prospect list atm, but otherwise it makes everything really freaking easy.
  4. Yan Gomes was the perfect kind of guy as the backup catcher (before his breakout, or the last year or so). Could play multiple positions with average or better defense, along with catcher. He could have been basically the Zobrist of the catching and corner infield world.
  5. He's REALLY tearing up AAA since his promotion.
  6. http://www.gocomics.com/nonsequitur/2016/07/06
  7. I have to admit, Carrera is growing on me.
  8. I don't expect us to bring in a big name or star, but we could certainly make smaller moves that would have a big impact on the team the remainder of the year. Grilli has made a big impact on the pen.
  9. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I doubt they would.
  10. Melvin Upton could actually be a really nice fit.
  11. Cargo has pretty big home/road splits in his career, and we DO need to have a CF. Ignoring that, rotating as appropriate Bautista, Cargo, and Edwin between OF, 1B, and DH wouldn't be terrible, and Cargo's contract is up after next year I think. I kind of think keeping Smoak vs righties and Colabello vs lefties when he returns should produce decent results at a fraction of the cost.
  12. It would be worth the phone call to see. Really though, our best option (unless we were getting someone like Gray) would likely be to just keep Hutch in the rotation and roll with 6 guys. Dickey is almost 42. We want to limit the innings of Sanchez, which could approach 210 BEFORE any playoff games. Estrada has a bad back. Happ has never thrown more than 170 ish innings, and Stroman is coming off almost a full season off from injury. Giving the guys the extra day between starts seems pretty smart to me.
  13. His velocity hasn't changed. The biggest issue I can see is that he isn't throwing his off-speed stuff for strikes as much. Who knows if it's mechanical, injury related, or between the ears / catcher / pitching coach. I suspect teams are laying off those pitches more, and keying in on his fastball. His zone% on the curve has gone from 45.4, 42.5, 49.0, to 35.6. His zone% on the slider has gone from 48.6, 48.9, 33.9, to 22.5.
  14. Carrera has to just keep going there. Force the catcher to grab it cleanly and get the tag on you.
  15. That was one hell of an ugly swing.
  16. Apparently we've signed 13 guys, might still be one or two more in addition.
  17. I still remember that no hitter he threw against us, where in the 9th he was consistently hitting 101 (didn't do that for the entire game though).
  18. I don't know about anyone else, but the last thing I want is to see Sanchez pitching in additional unnecessary innings this year. He's already on pace for well over 200 innings. Giving him an extended rest over the break would make a ton of sense imo, as in skipping one of his starts on either side of it rather than adding to it. On the plus side, in spite of the innings he's only averaging 100 pitches per start.
  19. I don't think the Royals liked Stro yelling and yapping at their bench. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone get hit.
  20. I'm pretty sure 18 other managers read it the way it was intended. If I get a prospect similar to what was suggested for Davis (maybe with me throwing in something), I WILL move him. If I don't, I'm happy to hold onto him for next year (and as of right now should have the space to do so). Over the last 2 years, Harris has a 1.5 ERA, 2.99 FIP, 3.17 xFIP. Wade Davis has a 1.02 ERA, 2.41 FIP, 3.37 xFIP.
