  1. I'd be interested if he played 2nd, but he isn't replacing Correa (and I have Baez who can play there too if necessary).
  2. Same with me. He has 9 or 10 SP too, so could probably look to trade at least one of them to free up the space.
  3. Well, if they're trading one of their good arms, I wouldn't expect them to get filler in return. They'd need some things to go right, but it's not unreasonable to think that they could. Getting an MLB ready outfield prospect would help them a lot.
  4. They can also move Brad Miller to 2nd and promote Casey Gillaspie to take over 1st, which would probably help things a bit in the infield.
  5. Prediction: TB now signs Coghlan to split time with Beckham at 2nd, and play some in the outfield. He probably puts up 2 WAR. I really want Coghlan to come here though. Plus in the outfield, can't hit lefties but we have Upton for that, and would provide valuable Travis protection at 2B.
  6. If they fill a hole or two on offense (which I indicated), they certainly could be.
  7. If they can get one or two MLB ready position players for a SP now, they could be dangerous short and longer term.
  8. Wow, very nice deal for the Rays. I wonder if they're now gonna move another starter for a position player?
  9. This kinda feels like an ideal situation for Puig to be dealt.
  10. I'm not sure what the motivation would be for Detroit. He isn't cost prohibitive, and he may be more valuable at the deadline. I have to think organizations are gonna start using mid to late round picks searching for relievers, rather than wildcards.
  11. I wonder if Peavy would be willing to work as a reliever?
  12. Well, he was only 25, can hit triple digits, and put up a 3.74 and 3.60 xFIP in his age 23 and 24 seasons. It's not unreasonable to think he still had a decent chance of reaching his potential. It would be totally different if he was 30 or something imo.
  13. For the BBDL I'm tentatively thinking either pick 20b + pick 40b (sandwich picks basically) in 2017, or pick 10b in 2018 (owner's choice which they prefer). I haven't talked to Cyborg about it yet though.
  14. The average wRC+ for all catchers last year was 87, so that shouldn't be such a big issue. I would like to see a good game caller though, preferably at least an average framer as well who doesn't let baserunners go wild and will get down to block a pitch.
  15. Dunno, I'm not sure we'd have to eat too much. I could see the Rangers or Astros being a possible fit. Smoak + something for Aoki would rock, especially since they signed Reddick and Beltran, and may not have too many at-bats for him.
  16. I'd love to pick up Rupp in a trade. Seems like a fit too, since it would free the Phillies up to give Alfaro the full time job with Knapp as the backup. Not sure what it would cost.

Grats Henrik, on 1,000 NHL points.
  18. FFS, get the regulars out.
  19. Some really questionable calls going on right now.
  20. I wouldn't mind signing Blash to a minors deal with invite.
  21. Hard to blame them? If you can't be faithful, don't get married, or break up with the gf before you would cheat. There's no excusing or rationalizing that kind of behavior.
  22. I kinda feel like Morales will probably out-perform Trumbo over the next three years (home runs aside). Not a bad deal for the O's though (probably).
  23. Feliz wasn't much above average last year (and that's giving him some benefit of the doubt by not looking at WAR). He was also terrible in the 2nd half. It's probably a fair deal, and a fantastic opportunity for him, but I'm really not shocked that he was still unsigned.
  24. Some terrible decisions by Kyle in the last minute.
  25. Sullinger looks good so far.
