I wonder if Stroman had a blister issue again? It was kind of strange how he left. -
I don't know if I buy that. He still put up 1 WAR in a little over 1/2 season of PA in 2016. Maybe his leg injury was a lot more significant than thought.

As other people have said, it depends how people come on here. If you come in saying that Goins is one of the best players on the team because of the RBIs, and should be an everyday player, then call people stupid if they don't agree with you, you'll be destroyed. If you come in and ask WHY we think that way, you'll find plenty of people who are willing to help you understand. As far as cliques go, you'll find a lot of disagreements that we have with each other too. For the most part though, we support our arguments, which provides proper discussion as well as learning opportunities for all involved.

Week one is probably the best time to face him. Half the big name vets seem to have barely played this preseason, and it may take them a few games to hit their stride.

We could look at playing Martin 1/2 time at 3rd if necessary. It would probably improve his bat quite a bit and keep him healthy, and the other half of catcher could be easier to fill this offseason than other positions. I don't think Gyorko would be absolutely necessary. Speaking of 3B, what the hell happened with Lawrie? He's practically dropped off the planet it seems.

He's arbitration eligible in his last year, so will likely be non-tendered.

Rosenthal won't be back until he's a free agent, will he? I'd love to get Reyes, Bader, and Wong (I mean, I'd love more, but I think I could live with that).

Any front office accounting department that didn't run numbers on stuff like that should be replaced immediately, and I suspect they all run them. It's likely that keeping things rare helps drive excitement and attendance, which would turn to people simply expecting freebies every game if it wasn't (meaning it would cost the team money, and wouldn't budge sales). There may also be licensing issues or royalties to factor in, especially with the bobbleheads. -
