  1. To be fair, he was deep and moving to his left. That makes it basically impossible to get any momentum behind the throw.
  2. wtf? If you're gonna do that, put Smoak at 3rd.
  3. Borucki's stuff looks a lot better today (more movement, sharper break on the curve). He's benefiting from a big strike zone, but this is great to see. Reality for him is probably somewhere in between these two starts.
  4. There was another angle they showed on the broadcast.
  5. That's 3 home runs for Hicks tonight.
  6. This was not the night to take a chance in picking Price in DFS. I was hoping his performance the last 2 months would trump his struggles against the Yankees. Nope. The Yankees are continuing to murder the ball even after he's left.
  7. Yes!!! Let the Rockets or Warriors deal with him in the playoffs.
  8. Not if we're out of it this year, or have to buy those innings off the FA market over the winter. Obviously I'd prefer a blue chip prospect, but I don't think we're gonna get that for Happ as a rental. The Rays do when they (probably) sell off Archer at the deadline. Maybe we get one if we package Happ along with a good reliever or two.
  9. If it is noise, then it's the Yankee Stadium part rather than the road split, which is extremely close to his career road xFIP. However, his walk and k rates are dramatically and more importantly consistently worse at Yankee Stadium. Maybe it's the mound, maybe it's in his head. Regardless, I see him as a sub 4 xFIP pitcher, with upside, on a reasonable contract and an extra year of control. That's probably worth at least 15M/60 next year on the FA market, and he'll probably make about 9M unless he has a killer 2nd half.
  10. Yeah, he shoots the 3 decently well (even though he doesn't take a lot) and is a very creative playmaker. I think it would help diversify our offensive looks a lot, which seems to be something the team wants (and needs) to do. If Lowry and FVV are on the floor with him, they can rain 3s all day It would also ensure a high quality playmaker on the floor at all times, for both the starters and bench, even if there's an injury or foul trouble.
  11. He really doesn't. He's been very good on the road this year (3.4 xFIP), and is a sub 4 xFIP pitcher prior to this year. He just sucks at Yankee Stadium for whatever reason. Add in the fact he's only making 6.5M this year and arbitration next year, and he could be a very real asset.
  12. Find a way to somehow move Ibaka (even if you have to move a non-starter with him to do it). Rondo would be an interesting addition, as a pure point guard. That would free Lowry up to shoot more. BTW, FVV signed a 2 year deal to stay with the Raptors
  13. I wonder when the last time was that a team hit two home runs that bounced off the top of a fence? Man, a few inches in our favor today and this game is very different. Pillar might have just saved a third.
  14. I wonder how many innings it'll be until the first drunk idiot goes streaking. You know it's gonna happen at some point today.
  15. It'll be interesting to see. I'm not sure Happ will return a high end asset (even though he probably should), and I'd kinda prefer something like Gray to a couple wildcard guys.
  16. Good think Peralta is 60% owned in our game lol.
  17. I was looking through catching options earlier, and ran across this. Look at those k rates! https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=15608&position=OF
  18. I know it's a different Gray, but what about Happ for Sonny Gray, with us picking up the cost difference? We'd get a pitcher we control for a reasonable price for an extra year (and one that may have that short porch getting into his head), and the Yankees help solidify their rotation for the playoffs this year. We could always look to resign Happ in the offseason.
  19. Gaviglio should probably put a LITTLE more mustard on that throw to first...
  20. Nope. Heat is apparently at dangerous levels.
  21. So in the Indians game Oliver Perez faced one batter, walked him, and didn't throw a single pitch.
  22. Oh has 12 k's in his last 5 innings.
  23. Oh is really starting to deal.
