  1. I don't know. Hard to say. Hector Neris is pitching well so far as the closer, and while injured Robertson has a strong track record. Stroman would be an upgrade over VV, but unless VV was part of the return or moved to the pen (which I'm not sure I see them doing), I'm not sure they'd see him as much of an upgrade (if any) over Eflin or Eickhoff. I'm also not convinced they have salary room for Stroman or Giles, so unless we were willing to take on an ugly contract it might not work from that perspective either. I'm actually not sure they have any ugly contracts. Nicasio maybe.
  2. Their prospect list is a lot worse than I thought it was. Hoerner is obvious (although not a high end top prospect), but beyond that there's a few lower profile arms with some intrigue and little of anything else.
  3. This is pretty much exactly what I expected, except for the wrong Boston players doing the major damage (DFS).
  4. Yeah, the first two were hard to blame entirely on him. That last one was 100% his fault.
  5. There's certainly some legitimate things to complain about with the organization, but imo Luciano isn't one of them.
  6. For the role he's in, who cares? He shouldn't be brought into close games anyway, and someone has to chew up the blowouts.
  7. No he hasn't, but he is up there (especially in the advanced stats). I think the title of worst probably goes to Ervin Santana, with Estrada not too far behind.
  8. They were saying earlier that he's probably 2 months away.
  9. Oh FFS, someone tell Vladdy and Tellez not to pick up Teoscar's bad sunflower habit.
  10. Both teams getting lucky hits. Let's see if we can cash in like the Sox did.
  11. You'd like him to have made both those plays, but it's hard to fault him on either. The first ball hit the grass cutout I think and took a wicked bounce, and that throw to second is very difficult to handle when you have to reach back across your body while also avoiding the runner. I don't think he did anything wrong on either of them, but you hope one or both are made.
  12. That ball hit off the turf cutoff I think.
  13. After it looked like Vladdy was a little overwhelmed early on with all the attention, I suspect they scheduled this game as a day off for him for that reason. They aren't sitting him just to piss people off.
  14. if they win the next 3 in a row, they literally WILL have won the series.
  15. Not going down quietly! Really good game overall. Need to do it again on Tuesday.
  16. Lol, Drake is practically running on the floor.
  17. Kawhi wants to make damn sure there isn't a 3rd overtime.
  18. Really looking forward to seeing the 2 minute report tomorrow.
  19. FVV came out of his shoes there.
  20. ... and he did
  21. Good foul there by FVV. Make them earn it, and you either force them to foul if they miss one or you have a free shot to win the game.
  22. There was a LOT of contact. The only thing you can really fault him on today is the two missed free throws.
  23. What a move by Siakam!
  24. Even the ref when he reviewed that was like, "Why the f*** am I reviewing this?"
  25. OMG, that cannot happen.
