  1. The Jays aren't even in the bottom 8, which tells you how bad some other teams have been. The Giants aren't last either for that matter.
  2. Well, I mean that was a 36' shot. He was closer to the half court than the three point line. He had plenty of time to get a much closer, higher percentage look. It was a bad decision with a good outcome for him. Here's the data for the shot: https://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=3&CFID=&CFPARAMS=&PlayerID=203081&TeamID=1610612757&GameID=0041800165&ContextMeasure=FGM&Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Playoffs&RangeType=2&StartPeriod=1&EndPeriod=10&StartRange=28748&EndRange=28800&section=game&sct=plot
  3. They crouch so much that I'd imagine it would be much harder on the knees, and probably shorten their careers. I doubt it has too much effect in terms of shorter term on-field results beyond that.
  4. I'll give you MiLB 109 for him
  5. It's funny, Lillard is getting all kinds of love for that game winning shot. Good thing he made it, because they didn't even attempt to run a play with plenty of time available. Instead he takes an extreme range three that probably had a 20% chance of actually going in. It was a terrible play call and shot selection, with a lucky result.
  6. Wow, what a choke by OKC in the final minutes. They had the game in hand.
  7. Yeah, I'm not really against it, I'm just not sure we really gain much from it. At least the downside of a contract like that is pretty limited.
  8. His deal with the Yankees was something like $3M + 300K / start. Might be a little steep for what he is now, but at least you only pay for him if he's healthy. I'm not sure he brings anything worthwhile at the deadline though, and if not is it really worth giving him starts over one of our young players who probably perform somewhat similarly?
  9. MIL just went on a 45-10 run. Yeah, the Bucks are good. I'm glad we upgraded from Coach Casey though, he wasn't able to adapt at all mid-game. Also, the Pistons have now lost 14 straight playoff games
  10. Antetokounmpo just made one hell of a shot while being fouled. Drummond who fouled him couldn't believe it, just started laughing.
  11. You didn't really want to win K/BB anyway.
  12. Well he has to play SOME this year or it's a problem, but given that he's a pitcher it might be wise for him to only pitch half a season. If he only pitches in the second half, he can probably choose a contender while being fresh down the stretch. For a batter, I agree with you completely.
  13. I'm not sure I buy that. There's enough need around the league someone would have given it to him by now if that was the case, either the long-term at a reasonable rate or 1 year at higher. I kinda feel that's just Rosenthal speculating, especially with the "one executive is under the impression" line. There's probably an executive somewhere who thinks the Earth is flat too. He may eventually settle for a prorated 1 year, but it'll probably be in the second half of the season.
  14. Keuchel isn't signed because he's asking for stupid amounts, stupid term, or probably still both. It's not like he's out of a job because no one wants him. I'd take 5 years of Sanchez at 12M per (assuming finger health) over Keuchel for 7 years at 30M per, or whatever stupid asking price he had.
  15. You've never watched Curry play, have you? If you can make the shot at a high clip, and are wide open, it's not a bad shot. When he chooses to do it, it's also often with the defense not set and one or two guys with him who have a legit chance for an offensive rebound if he misses. The shot clock doesn't matter, that's old school thinking. Teams take as much or as little of it as they need to get a good, high percentage shot (unless it's late in the game and you need to eat it).
  16. Yes, he just hasn't figured it out at the major league level yet. When he was traded, he was a top 20 prospect in the same tier as guys like Albies, Devers, Frazier, Gleyber Torres, Adames, etc.
  17. I think they were trying to overhaul his swing this spring. He's still only 24 though, still time to work things out. He might be a guy who needs to go to a different organization to get fixed (like the Rays).
  18. And possibly tied with the Yankees, who are running an ... interesting lineup out there today.
  19. I think I'd be fine with 5/60 in August or September, if the finger issues don't return as the heat and humidity pick up.
  20. It should. You could try changing the Lineup Change System at the bottom (not sure if it's just desktop or mobile as well).
  21. We're 3rd in the division now, with the Yankees firmly in our sights. Hey, if we can stay in the pack until some of our young guys get here, you never know what might happen.
  22. No, tying run has to be in the on deck circle for a save of more than 3 runs (or pitch at least the last 3 innings).
  23. Apparently Kawhi was sick, and didn't practice before the game. That makes his performance a little more understandable.
