  1. Every player would look the same. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/membershipmessage.png
  2. I have learned in these pools not to go with your own instinct. Go with the guy that has the most trade value. Watch other pools (LOD probably has the first draft) and follow the reactions. Dominguez warning would be Kevin Maitan. Warning against not picking him would be Vladdy. White Sox have shown a desire to compete really soon. Vaughn could be fast-tracked and debut as early as 2021. Not taking Adley downside is that you might be missing out on the next Buster Posey. The downside is you might have to cheer for an Oriole. There is no right choice, you can only go wrong. Sorry you cannot go as wrong as the guy picking Riley Greene!
  3. I think it's better than the rest of their off-season moves, outside of the Asdribble move.
  4. Drury, & Jansen (depending if any pitchers get personal catchers). Shaw -36 wRC+ last year vs LHP. 78 wRC+ for his career (540 PA's). Jays were pretty awful vs. LHP last year, Shaw certainly won't change that.
  5. I like what they have done. Supposedly they have been told not to exceed the Luxury tax. Right now they are estimated at $6M over the first Luxury tax spot. They have put up ridiculous price tags on Bryant, Contereas, Rizzo Javy and even Schwarber, and they haven't wavered. If no one pays their price they still have options to get under. If they stay status quo they are still as good as anyone in the central. They have a bunch of bench pieces that play multiple positions (Kemp, Perez, Descalso) and signed a couple upside bullpen pieces on split contracts (so they can send them down and it won't count against the cap).
  6. all white people look the same
  7. I should have picked him right then. I am glad I put that in writing somewhere. The next day I got to meet him and the rest of the Broncos and I think a week later they traded him

I worked the u18 Worlds this year. Got paid $0. Where was the hype? There were several players who played in this and the u20s. This tournament is a Canadian funded, Canadian run, TSN Hype machine, which literally no other country cares about. No one else even broadcasts it. Not to mention they have a ridiculous hosting fee which provides pretty much zero budget for the host community to hire sport professionals. If I wanted work out of this I would have to do so when the U.S. hosts. This does not help me or sport in canada grow.
  9. If he improves I think you'll see him as a footnote on all rankings with a "If eligible..." ranking.

Yeah Canada won the TSN Championship!
  11. Prospect lists go by "rookie status" for the purposes of lists he will never be on a ranking
  12. This chart went by position most played. Cruz is not a DH, he is RF.
  13. Well in that case, I care. We should get Joc and Bellinger from the Dodgers too
  14. Can we agree to never go Euro again?
  15. bWAR and they have Heyward at 26.9 but it is 36.9. Difference using fWAR C - Lucroy beats out Martin for 3rd 1B - no change 2B - Zorilla replaces Kinsler SS - 1. Tulo, 2. Lindor, 3. Andrus 3B - no change LF - Yelich, Gardner, Upton CF - Trout, Cutch, Yelich (if you go by most played position there could be some changes but I'm not searching that deeply) RF - Stanton, Betts, Zorilla DH - Cruz, EE, Ortiz SP - Kershaw, Scherzer, Verlander, Sale, Greinke RP - Chapman, Kenley and Kimbrel
  16. I remember in 93 and 94 them making a big deal about Schofield, Alomar, Sprague & Stottlemyre being on the field at the same time. I didn't care then...I don't care now.
  17. Don't just read the quote. The entire answer was excellent. Brings us back to Boxy's discussion about making an outspoken player the voice of baseball.
  18. Not sure. I honestly barely have ever made moves in the LOD to know the effects (I'm also the guy that lost 3 prospects). It's not the intention of the rule I was proposing.
  19. yes that was my thought process. Guys that finished the season on the big club will cost you a waiver wire pickup and counts as a major league player. There are plenty of players available in the post rule 5 waivers if your player gets returned to the minors.
  20. yes I didn't finish my statement but people may have already made moves for this year so this proposal was for 2021. Gives us time to discuss and see where Fantrax differences might cause an issue with this proposal.
  21. I'd like to propose a rule that changes it to up to 32 keepers (regardless of their status) so that we don't need to track status. The flags still used during the season of course. People may have already made moves this year to be different Current Rule: On March 1st prior to the rule 5 Draft (March 7) – teams must trim their MLB rosters down. Teams can roster a maximum of 32 total players through the cut down with a maximum of 22 MLB and 14 MiLB being allowed. For example, teams can decide to keep 22 of their MLB players but would only be allowed to carry 10 MiLB. If teams choose this setup their redundant waiver picks will dissolve. If teams acquire more than 12 prospects via trade or draft then they can cut down to a minimum 18 MLB players and carry a maximum of 14 prospects through the cut down period but will be required to cut down to a maximum of 12 prospects before the July MiLB draft. Proposed Rule: On March 1st prior to the rule 5 Draft (March 7) – teams must trim their MLB rosters down. Teams can roster a maximum of 32 total players through the cut down. For every non-Flagged player a team keeps, their redundant waiver picks will dissolve. Teams will be required to cut down to a maximum of 12 prospects before the July MiLB draft.
  22. Carp f***ed up on Kikuchi (the 2B not the s***** pitcher) by not posting him. I can't see them missing out on getting the max financially on Suzuki next season.
  23. Todd, people have been f***ing with you.
