I do make the rules. The rule is don't use words I don't like. In the case of Boomer, you used it on three different threads. And not once was it funny, entertaining or needed. -
Pearson, Ryu, Kloff, Manoah & Roark would make a solid 560kg pitching staff.

It's purely speculative but Danny Horwits from Beverly Hills Sports Council was in Toronto about 2 weeks ago. He has Puig as a client. I'm as anti-Puig as anyone in our dynasty leagues. But his upside makes sense as a guy they would pursue.

Most interesting points from both sides. AA's comment that there would be no deal without Bonifacio. The Marlins saying there would be no deal without Mathis. These are professional baseball front offices just 8 years ago. The Marlins in turn traded Yunel for Deitrich, Disco for Latos, Hech for Braxton Lee, Marisnick (and others) for Jarrod Cosart and Nicolino was released. They just have a terrible front office and owner. Starting a trade talk by guaranteeing a world series is the most fantasy baseball thing I've ever heard (and something I said this offseason) Further...BA's writeups for Thor and Nicolino at the time of the trade That's right Marlins...always take the mid rotation lefty over the top of the rotation potential. And they have continued that trend throughout the decade.

In what was probably the 3rd best trade in Marlins history...there are still angry fans of this deal. Although i would be angry now hearing Nicolino over Thor

The best part is that the front office is getting praised for spending but the payroll right now is projected to be $16M less than last year. Essentially the amount they paid players to play with other teams, they are now paying to players to play for the Jays.

I don't consider any dynasty rankings to be actually that good...but Fantrax just put Acuna ahead of Trout (updated their rankings last week). Cole was 15th (first pitcher and just after Vlad Jr.)

teams can get their own sponsorship deals but all international broadcasting revenue goes to MLB from what I read.

I don't think anything changes with Giles. I think you can remove the "really" if a good fit comes along you take it. If that is a 19 year old kid you like you take it.

Same guy said a week ago that the Dodgers were not willing to match a 4 year $80M for Ryu. Appears to have some knowledge of the front office for the Dodgers

We are far from a lock. There are three teams in this division that are projected well in front of us still. Don't go all 2013 based on excitement. The team is improved. Now lets let the cream rise and build a winner.

Price was an okay option if no free agent came here. Jays have to get a bunch of these guys 50+ big league innings. OF next!

He'll be a guy that is debated a lot. Considerably less rWAR. A lot of playoff appearances with no WS. Just one GG, 1 SS, 3 years with MVP votes and zero big moments. I actually think he'll be a guy that never gets more than 40%.
