  1. I put them together. I never said I'd post here. I've been wanting to get the scouting reports into excel as I want to play with data eventually. The file is posted into the DDL message board.
  2. Let's just put it this way, if I had him on my prospect roster he'd be on the trade block...oh who am I kidding I'd never draft a fattie in the first place
  3. If I were in the Toronto media, I'd be interviewing Lind every day to just to enjoy the stupidity.
  4. I thought Nox was looking fat too
  5. Great story by Mark Grace about Greg Maddux calling him over to block the erection he got because pitching excited him so much
  6. Yeah I'll respond now. I shouldn't check these things in class.
  7. We have a slick fielding middle infielder in the org for 5 years, and now a batting coach spends 3 days with him.
  8. I see it like a woman getting a Brazilian...probably not comfortable, maybe even painful for her but I like the end result. For the record I have no issue that I just compared women to animals or possibly compared the death of an animal to the death of pubes.
  9. Exactly...cause the PED's weren't illegal.
  10. That place was insanely fun in the first 2 years of the team, and as bad as those teams were, it was one of the toughest places to play in the league. I'm pretty sure it will have that same feel and buzz...of course we all know what happens when buzz is met with letdown.
  11. cut the throat (can cut the whole head but my uncle always said not to do so). Blood gets everywhere, Scald it in boiling water, remove feathers, cut off the feet and cut a hole near the anus and remove the crap you don't want.
  12. Hunters that rape the animals
  13. All those that automatically assumed that the cougar was not shot to be eaten, has never been to Northern Alberta. All of my Northern Alberta friends (which totals two) love to eat cougar meat. I'm betting that Big John Havok has had a cougar or two...maybe even ate one.
  14. Dan La Batard is my new hero. Great name too
  15. They do realize that changes need to be made...but if it changes there will be much less talking about it. Talking about baseball (especially in January is so good for baseball). They are much better off not changing a thing, until people start boycotting the hall.
  16. He might be a bargain now. I'd like to add that as much as I had him lower as a prospect than many did...his fantasy value by my projections would have been higher than many I'd have ahead of him.
  17. Will end up a 1B or LF for sure now.
  18. Tommy John Surgery most likely for Miguel Sano. I'll restart my Kris Bryant vs. Sano argument now.
  19. Wouldn't Maddux being a unanimous be a slap in the face to all the better players who weren't. It's not like he's going to cost Maddux entry. It also looks like he won't be enough to get Morris in. It's just another nothing ballot.
  20. Also would like to add that 34 percent of all Local TV revenue goes to the MLB and then redistributed to the 30 teams equally so I imagine that this number is based off of a formula (Yankees wouldn't choose $90M if this weren't the case). The good news for the Royals is that the Dodgers, and any other team that signs a monster local TV deal, send 34 percent of that annual revenue to Major League Baseball, according to Uhlich. MLB then distributes the money evenly among all 30 teams. However, teams are finding a loophole. Money made off a team’s equity stake is not shared. Chris Bevilacqua, the founder and CEO of Bevilacqua Media Company, explained last year on Forbes’ “SportsMoney” program: “What you really are seeing is teams that are becoming media companies, they’re taking equity ownership properties,” Bevilacqua said. “So once you get into owning the actual media and having the intellectual property rights, the economics just become greater and greater.” But there is risk, too. The Dodgers’ deal is expected to call for a network dedicated to the team (a la The Longhorn Network). If advertisers don’t pay as expected, that could cut into a team’s profits. And there is a chance for viewer backlash. The Dodgers’ deal means another channel for cable companies to pay for, and that cost is passed along to the viewer, whether or not they are fans. 21. Rogers is paying the $36M, to the Jays side of the books. It's all paper transactions but certainly is factored in the Jays budget. Is Rogers turning a profit beyond that...you better believe they are but I kind of thought that was the purpose of a business. Quick simple math for those saying they could easily be putting the payroll up to $200M, that's would put them at approx. $86M per year for TV. Which would be top 5 in baseball I believe.
  22. The on paper transaction for their TV contract is $36 Million per year. Which puts the Jays right in the middle of the pack on TV contracts.
  23. He did this on purpose. His intention was to stop voting altogether...if he does that this year he doesn't get to make any statement about it. Now he gets noticed, then announces he won't be voting any more in the future.
  24. Notre Dame boy, if he doesn't get his payday, it's the lord's will.
  25. I was just looking at it from a 40 man point of view and missed Rienzo and yes he'd be the next to get the call. Surkamp gives them 4 lefties...that's going to kill them in a division where Tigers, Indians and Royals all hit lefties quite well. They are in interesting team for sure and I expect they'll be the dream destination for any RHP who can only get a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. Any time a team can add 3 offensive starters (I'm not huge on Matty D but love Eaton) and will probably decrease payroll it's a good off-season. It's one of those off-seasons that sets up up for moves the next year (especially since Dunn comes off the books I believe).
