As much as I like to trust Asian in math and finances it's not that simple. Baseball players spend less than 45% of the time in Canada and are only taxed for 45% of their salary at Canada's top marginal rate (which I believe is 49.1%)

Maybe their projection systems don't show this team as a .500 team. I know it seems crazy that the Robert Projection System could be wrong.

Is anyone interested in Devin Mesoraco for a pick? If my history with players I eventually move after refusing several deals for continues he'll have career high numbers for you. I just can't bring myself to part with one of my favourite projects in Carson Kelly and I'm not carrying three catchers.

I'm not sure that there is such a thing as a great drafter in baseball. I think if AA kept drafting for Toronto (or is Tinnish the draft guru?) there would be down times as well. One thing AA was great at was making sure the Jays had lots of picks.

It's such a tough situation to broker. It can't be a Halladay type deal, it almost has be a player already producing that a contending team can afford to move. Maybe with a leaked story that Donaldson wants to be traded as well for PR reasons. Trade them all and tank for Seth Beer as that would be the closest thing to a Cubs rebuild.
