He was huge on Corey Ray pre-draft and has called the Brewers a top 5 system, also is a huge Jason Groome fanboy. So maybe there will be a surprise entrant. Mind you I didn't go back and look and see if they already hit.

I'll give you 1.5 of the 3. He's a defender up the middle (who has zero ability to make good smart decisions, 24 of 31 errors being throwing errors) he's a 20 head and despite a compact swing he's going to strike out a third of the time, because he's too stupid to know better.

Not nearly as athletic, but both had similar pop times (really good) and get great reviews on their blocking. Looks like Reese also might have similar poor framing skills though. Would be good to see him repeat AA like Realmuto did and work on the receiving and bat a bit. Realmuto with even average framing skills would be a lot to ask for a comp. A taller Tucker Barnhart is my Reese BCS comp.

I've read repeatedly that he'd go top 3 if he was in this draft class as he should be. Goes to college as a 17 year old and rakes (admittedly he slowed down in ACC play). Much like my freshman assessments of Bryant and Rendon....I will not drop Beer ever. Top 20 MLB hitter FV is lowest I'm going on this one.

Perfect Game has Beer 7th in that draft (Singer 3rd behind Rocker and Turang). I know nothing about the high school guys, and really don't care as that will change a million times by 2018 but this is considered to be the best Freshman class in years. 2018 could be such an impact year with a great free agent class and potentially great draft class too.

They give away insider accounts with ESPN the magazine subscriptions, and I just turned down $12 for the entire year from some site. Next time it comes up I'll buy a BJMB magazine subscription and share the account with all of you. Still pissed that Wilner let his go.

Well covered here. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-dodgers-decision-to-be-intentionally-inefficient/ They spent a year building depth and shedding payroll, while remaining a contender. Taking a value hit here on an inexpensive guy, while upping their overall projections, is an understandable move IMO.

This is a front office that's on Radio more than bad Arianna Grande songs, and they are open and up-front in every interview. There is no doubt that this is about one thing which is money. It's probably half a million dollars to operate a PR event for the group of people who are not really as important in a time of success. But cancelling anything that is considered a benefit to people making a purchase (and it was still listed in season ticket packages at renewal time) it will be remembered next year by STH'ers if this season isn't considered a success. -
Citing it being too popular as the reason. I always thought the thing was stupid but they better add in benefits to the STH or this is a real head scratcher

Not to mention it is too much information given to our opponents but it would be a fun exercise. This board is probably in the minority when it comes to dynasty over fantasy and probably has more experience than most.

Different needs for different teams but there are lottery tickets I would have rather have.

Seems like even more of a reason for Breaking Blue to become a dynasty league ranking site. Would be a lot easier to project value of the dead. I still believe that 41 is the number for this.

The Canada 150 Participaction thing has named a day for each sport (Boxing Day is September 9th, not Dec 26, this year in case you have your calendar out) I wonder if Baseball's day is on a Sunday and they will tie this in.

They outscored the Jays in the second half last year and were 8th in wRC+ in the second half. And matched the Jays in runs scored on the road. This is very much a team that could be scary.

Could they be setting themselves up for the 7 starter 6 reliever rotation they have always wanted to try? With certain pitchers only seeing the batting order three times when they are really going good. Going from Snell's 95 from the left to Cobb's Knuckle curve and amazing change seems like it would be a great 8 innings.
