  1. Got to overturn that. The announcers are annoying me though. It's a rule
  2. This year they shed the following contracts: CC $25M Holiday $13M Frazier $6M Pineda $6M Owed to players not on the team $29M I can see them focusing on a pitcher this off season and 2019 is when they go big.
  3. That probably means they leaked information easily or bought steaks. Pleasing media as a PR person probably means you are bad at your job.
  4. Doesn't he have to tag him on that play?
  5. TCA and I decided to make a 1 for 1 trade. To TCA - Marcell Ozuna To Me - Brian Dozier
  6. EVon-Ka Oz-Mack clap, clap clap-clap-clap
  7. Chris Joyner and Mike Frostad among those let go. Likely to do with the stuff he said about Sanchez and Travis last week.
  8. Good they haven't updated the site. I got a screenshot so I can tell where they cut the other 20 from. BASEBALL MEDIA Vice President, Baseball Media Jay Stenhouse Manager, Baseball Information Mal Romanin Coordinator, Baseball Information Erik Grosman Coordinator, Baseball Media Sue Mallabon that is the entire Baseball Media dept. with the exception of the VP and he's been with the team since he was in Grade 9
  9. I wondered who that was with. Do you remember terms? it was based on wRC+ i believe
  10. Dunedin, GCL and DSL I believe. I can't say I know the financial advantages and disadvantages of owning but I'm sure it's out there in an article somewhere.
  11. Who, outside of players, is left from before Dumb-Broski arrived now? He took everything Theo built and tore it down (I know Farrell hiring was post-Theo). I can't wait until he destroys the roster as well.
  12. Own (or part own) Teams SWB Yankees Albuquerque Dodgers Gwinnett Braves Memphis Cardinals Syracuse Mets Signed through 2020 Indianapolis Pirates Albuquerque Rockies Charlotte White Sox Lehigh Valley Phillies Iowa Cubs New Orleans Marlins Sacramento Giants Have already agreed to extend (All part of the agreement for the Rangers to move Colorado Springs) Colorado Springs (and moved team to San Antonio) Rangers Fresno Brewers Round Rock Astros All others might be SOL
  13. There is always going to be one team left out. Mets bought a team to make sure they weren't that team. 2018 is a host of teams coming up for new contracts. It's going to come down to Baltimore (Norfolk), Arizona (who might happily move to the new park in Vegas from Reno), Nats (no team), Twins (Rochester). Most of the others appear to be happy in their locations or part own their teams. Edit forgot the A's who are in Nashville and might also be more interested in Vegas.
  14. They approved the new stadium yesterday. Being built in Downtown Sumerlin. Indoor batting cages finally (probably the worst part about Cashman was the batting practice as games were almost always played at night). New location will be beside the Red Rock (and the new LGK practice arena City National Arena). The City of Vegas bought the naming rights for 20 years $80M
  15. Mets bought Syracuse...move there permanently in 2019. Will the Nats be the team left out in the cold and have to move to Vegas? Mets probably will have the best set up minor league system once the move takes place (geographically and no contracts expiring until 2023). A Double A and Triple A team an hour away from each other is great for the players.
  16. Are you looking at fWAR? Cause I have it at 3.7 for Tulo and 3.3 for Reyes. Since the trade I think Tulo has been an 94 wRC+
  17. I think there are about 8 good teams in baseball (good now and appear to be set up okay for the future) the Red Sox are one of those 8...there is no shame in not moving on in the playoffs and no reason to do anything too drastic (from firing the manager to player moves)
  18. He didn't hit hated status...just forgotten.
  19. I never did get my Souza Jr. jersey...but I know which one I'd rather have now. Who has put up more Wins since the trade...Tulo or Reyes? I'd have to guess it's close.
  20. We need to bump the Tulo trade thread again. I believe there was a point last season that someone bumped it on me.
  21. So you wouldn't three-way Jennifer Hedger with Spanky? Can you throw this into a 5 scenario system for your response please
  22. yeah me too...and there are zero number 1's anymore (has more to do with me than them). I'm looking for a number 3 that falls into number 4.
  23. They were more or less regulars when they had their first year arbitration but Amarista and Mercer both got over $2M for their arbitration. I figure Goins is somewhere around $1.8ish. If you don't plan on offering him a back up role or at any point of the season you plan to try and push him through waivers...just cut him now and do the right thing for him.
  24. I agree on both Jennifer Hedger and Kate Beirness (both over Jackie Redmond, who when she was with the Score was always in Shoeless Joes with Big Red as he'd be betting the track...she seemed down to earth and not into her appearance back then. That was more attractive) Spanky was it Jennifer Hedger in front of us at the first Jays Game we went to together? I seem to remember a Spanky chant with that name in it.
