  1. ^ Found my DDL trading partner
  2. Maybe Ang is part of the Big Brother program
  3. The stupid thing is that whatever happened is probably no worse than what the Buscones have been doing for years. Hopefully someone in DR/Venezuela (looking at you Ang) cashes in with TMZ and releases details about everything.
  4. Sorry you are correct. They got $1.5M in the Sonny Gray deal, and two undisclosed (at the time I assume) deals with Baltimore for Wotherspoon and Ramirez.
  5. I meant they can trade for up to $3.625M in International money.
  6. They shouldn't fall under International money anymore. I think they are Open market...or if I were a lawyer I'd be making sure they are.
  7. Assuming they got at least $310K from the Marlins it would. If my math is right the Yankees can trade for $3.625M in bonus pool money in total.
  8. It's bonus money...the union doesn't really give a s*** about it. With that said MLB has said that it will be super careful in looking at Otani's contract and future contracts (meaning he is expected to remain at the minimum for 3 years and any perks above may result in a bonus pool penalty), that is where the Union is going to put up a fight IMO.
  9. Yankees getting International Pool money from Jeter and the Marlins. If any team honestly believes it's not in the O(h)tani hunt they should be trading International pool money
  10. fWAR leader Rendon gets none. He was actually 7th among NL batters in bWAR though
  11. Shuffle the Deck. Solid minor league signing actually. Showed promise as a reliever
  12. That's Chris Brassard
  13. Just look at that first page of Minor League free agents. Ackley two years a top 15 prospect, Arismedy Alcantara squeaked in once at 100, Osvaldo Arcia #41, 2 time top 100 prospect Manny Banuelos topping out at 29, Best Control in the minors Blake Beaven. Just on page 1
  14. Estimated $152 (down to $5.5M in owed to former players) as it stands right now with "near min" players filling out the roster. Considering they have 20 or so spots accounted for they could really fill out those spots with Min contracts'ish.

The line between starter and backup is fading in basketball. It's about having a certain skill set now...and how that skill set works with your teammates. San Antonio has (or had) players that almost never play together.
  16. I don't think "Stay there" is as much of a concern. Reset the percentage while they are so close, and deal salary again based on the next TV contract.
  17. he'd put some balls through the Monster. Seems like he's Veto'd the Giants as well. And the Dodgers are now in talks
  18. To AA's credit Tampa had some brilliant minds behind them, and usually just as many picks and bombed during this same time period.
  19. My Twitter account exploded because I posted that my ticket broker posted that he was asked to come into work early the next day. Who knew that it was to take complaints about not getting Yu.
  20. I hate ceilings... What some members of this board just read is that 140 career fWAR is coming through the systems
  21. Stanton says he will veto any trade to Boston or the cards
  22. This goes with an earlier comment about how Shapiro is so much better than Beeston. Pillar was dealt with so much better without worrying about a trade...Yuli's eye slant is well forgotten in Houston. How they handled the situation is what forced their hand to throw a guy into a trade that has provided $60M in surplus value since that trade.
  23. News and notes from the Waldorf Astoria, site of the general managers meetings: •
  24. It wasn't that. It was more how he viewed the team at the time he made the trade and that he threw them all into one trade and tried to one stop shop. He left his team with JPA as it's only catcher, brought in a shitload of older players leaving the team with no depth if injuries happened. I also should remind you that those "s*** prospects" provided $200M in greatere value than the vets within 3 years of the trade. Lets not pretend that lots of teams weren't in on Vlad Jr. He was a $3.9M recruit. AA did what it took to land him and I can respect that (using his French to impress the Mom, he used Montreal connections to impress Vlad), but there were ties that Ismael Cruz started when Vlad was 13. Tony LaCava and AA even questioned why they were there to look at a 14 year old and admitted if it weren't Vlad's kid they wouldn't have looked.
