I don't think there are overnight pauses. We have 12 hour windows. Only Spanky after a 5 day bender sleeps more than 12 hours

Depends. If he put two players in the queue when I was up, he's assuming he got someone, and doesn't really need to check in. He's also up in another draft now supposedly so if he's dead (the most logical of the potentials) we'll know

You can't make your pick and then say "we should pause" for EzE. If you had a heart you would have waited your 12 hour window. If we are pausing he should have a shot at everyone picked since Senga.

I will say now that I f***ed up not doing my research. When I made the trade it was with a plan, but I had only done LoD research. When I realized that JC was available I immediately felt regret and shame (not the first time for these feelings). Nice pick, now I hope he blows out both knees

Not a problem for a month. If it's a season long, that's when a trade happens. Jays have the future assets to still make a move and enough space that they could add anyone after June 1 and not hit the next CBT level. Lucas Giolito is my guess.

I've had two discussions around 40 man rosters and the Jays. My argument is that the Jays have the best 40 man roster in baseball. The second is that this is the best 40 man the Jays have ever had. First one I can see being argued. The second of course is looking at projected vs actual but I can't find an overall past team that has had this kind of depth

I also might add that Boxy probably makes a bad companion for the differently-abled. He's much more Chow Chow. I don't needed it pointed out that I chose an Asian breed making it racist.

Agreed. In most cases there is still a solid correlation between the top hitters by advanced stats and counting stats. Guys like Trea Turner show how better lineups, better spots in the order (and a DH in the NL) can change an RBI situation. Arguably a better season in 2021 than 2022 (142 wRC+ vs. 128) but 23 extra RBI's last year. But both are still great seasons and the extra RBI's make 2022 a little sexier. If you really want to get into a fun old school vs. advanced stats conversation, bring up Dante Bichette 1999.

and it's possible the team already has plans for the two spots or at least want them empty through Spring Training. Those NRI and Minor League deals like to know there is a spot if they shine in spring. Also teams usually seem to know whether a player will get through waivers or not. I'm sure if it was as easy as not announcing the deal until they can put Ryu on the 60, they likely would.

The new rules will likely hurt when Gausman and Mitch White. I think they have the worst CS percentage among Jays starters.

No one has the space to grab Gage right now. Same day as a more appealing Frank German is DFAd too. If you wait a week everyone gets to put their player on the 60 and claim your player.
