Alfredo Griffin pinch ran for Olerud in the 8th. Don't remember if they were hitting for Griffin or not. -
and from all reports two of most likeable but useless baseball people. Dana Brown was the genius behind December 2012. Completely surprised that this is the guy that ends up in Houston. Might be the best news for baseball. He absolutely hated "the computer guys" when he was here.

It amazes me how many fans (mostly under 30 I find) think that every ball park should have the exact same standard sized field. I get that every other sport does, but baseball can be unique. -

In hockey survivor I did picks 3 weeks in advance. And have totally forgot about them every week. Now the question is do I stick with my Oilers over the Blackhawks pick or go more strategic and Seattle over Columbus (with both teams on a back to back).

They obviously have certain stats they monitor closer than most, and then have a usage plan that works more often than most teams do. Someone smarter than me could probably find similarities to the guys that turned it around in Tampa and figure out what the obvious stats they are chasing are. Finding the usage changes (and possibly grip change) is the hard part. Funny how in in Toronto they give Pete Walker the credit, but in Tampa we know it's likely the front office. I like to believe there are wizards in our F.O. too

the fact is (and you've pointed this out) we don't know the facts of Bauer. There are still 3 other accusers as well. What buried him may actually be the details and how they pertain to the policy.

The tobacco with his kid will draw an emotional response but more importantly it's a direct violation of the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy (under emotional harm, regardless of it's intended target). The choking and abusing his partner is another (alleged) violation. We'll never see all the facts unless it becomes a trial. I, unlike some, trust that MLB investigations do their due diligence. In the meantime he's an alleged piece of s*** on Twitter, not cancelled.

Anyone know if there was a legit reason for his velocity drop last year? Not that his fastball is his number 1 pitch anyway -
The most ridiculous part of the process is that only 10.2% of the voters thought he was a HOF'er in 2018. Those guys who didn't vote for him the previous 5 votes, finally got around to looking up his stats? Beltran (probably the best player on this ballot not named ARod) will get in likely in 2027. The pool over voters should be 10,000 have to answer baseball trivia to unlock their ballot and when you vote, you don't get another for at least 5 years. Then people might vote properly. I've just given too much thought for something that every year I say is something I don't care about.

It is truly one site (two if you count the old forum). All my fears that Robert was going to wear my skin as a suit and run around the RC naked after a Tiny Tim save, was alleviated when I met him. We just need to ignore this and Robert goes away until Spanky says his name three times consecutively.

For the record Robert blends in well with the forum when people are not pointing out his past. When he starts needing to be banned because someone (not pointing at any particular ginger here) starts acknowledging his identity and bad posts...he tends to go off the rails. like creating 50 accounts (and filling out the entire profile, not just the email, it just adds to Robertness). So as per usual can we please not call him by his dead name, and either treat him as a regular member in responses...or do not respond. And certainly do not give him a 5 page thread honouring the greatest troll in BJMB history, as Terminator will get jealous and create a billion KKOverBellie accounts

I know this is old now but a couple days after this his wife announced she was leaving NFL Network for a new job in Soccer. So having 5 year old twins, it might just be too much distance. I think I read that her new studio is in Atlanta, so Braves likely employ him somewhere. Either that or she finally left him for giving back the Aaron Judge 61st HR ball without taking cash. -

it really was tough. Honestly the extra 15 minutes after the Fantrax f*** up didn't help at all. And I think taking Kelce was a mistake. I ended up 3 Bills, 2 Chiefs, 1 Bengal, 1 Eagle, 1 49er and a win bet on the Chargers.
