    I remember the Giants had 9 hits and 10 BB without scoring. But it was an 18 inning game. JR Richard also had a 10 BB shutout, but if I remember correctly he walked the bases loaded in the 7th and 9th (could you imagine a manager now allowing their starter to walk 6 after the 6th)

    With the expected changes to the concourse I would like to see an activation inside the stadium for big moments or seasons (we could take Joe off the LOE and celebrate his HR instead). With a wall of all players to put on the uniform (coaches included). Then keep the LOE to players who truly deserve it

    Go read the stats on Soccer goalkeepers. They make up 10% of a team but of soccer players who have been diagnosed with cancer over two thirds are goalies. In the sport and rec world it was pretty well known and there were many international articles, but it was swept under the rug pretty quickly.

    Also from a betting side of things, Isles paying 2.55 to make the playoffs while Pittsburgh is 1.77 is just pure value. I've been saying since January that Ottawa would be a top 5 team in the second half of the season, but I thought they would come up just short.

    I'm just going to say that I think you might have a bias. I mean I think this team is good. But losing to any playoff team in the east would also not surprise anyone. I find the West fascinating from a gambling side of things this year

    If the leafs have another first round exit, does Dubas make it back next season? I mean he has them set up to be a playoff team still moving forward. He's addressed perceived team weaknesses. All while keeping the high priced core together (something I did not think he would be able to manage). Just seems to me that there is not much a new GM could do anyway. Wait until Matthews FA year if you are going to make a FO change IMO. At least that way it gives a new GM a chance to make real changes.

    I would think positive. I see this as an Atkins replacement if the Jays continue with success and he moves to another team as President (especially if his hometown of Charlotte gets an expansion team).

    I just talked about how everyone who mentions the garbage can with Click deserves to be kicked in the nads! He was in Tampa in 2017. Now take your kicks like a man...maybe we'll bring in L54 and his steel toed boots band of merry men for this one.

    .399 winning percentage their first 10 years, since dropping the Devil (how the bible belt hasn't embraced this team I just don't understand) .544 So lets look at those "just existing" 15 years. 2 AL Championships 8 playoff appearances (3rd) 8 90 win seasons (3rd) 4th in wins. I won't even go into lowest payroll stuff that will get you triggered. That is a successful on field product.

    How many hours do you think are required to do analysis (especially on professionals where there is already 1000's of hours of video)? This is what Spring Training is for. It is why Dunedin has data driven analysis on site. The next part is taking the data and making material changes. For every driveline success stories, I am sure there are 10 which did not use the data to make the needed changes. Some probably ignored and believed in it. It is also possible that Betts is going because he hates the conditioning part of early spring training. Something that we don't want Vlad to miss. In the end, everything before opening day is optional for the player (including spring training). We have no idea if Vlad is open to any swing or approach changes, or if they have asked him. Jays have 2 more years to decide if Vlad is a legit 160 wRC+ guy or 130 wRC+ guy. Both are helpful to the team

    You get 70ish days off in 7.5 months. They get 22 (most of which are flying or doing promotional stuff for the team)
