  1. That's how ESPN does it. You add players for the game they're next unlocked for. On Yahoo I prefer next-day adds.
  2. Guy has a rabid following. A world-class poet and an original thinker.
  3. Carson Cistulli is the best.
  4. Haha. I have three decent picks in the next draft; hoping to get some legit guys then and may trade up even further.
  5. I agree too! They have practically no value when compared to productive major leaguers. But it's still better to have a bunch of actual prospects in your farm than not. I also like my guys' chances of advancing into the top 100 by next year.
  6. It's a 12 prospect max, but that doesn't mean everyone has many top 200 prospects. There are a lot of obscure guys owned that will likely be dropped in June, and it's been a while since the last June draft so there are plenty of unowned top 200 guys. Farm strength also skews heavily towards a few of the rebuilding teams. I probably have nine top 200 guys and I think that's pretty good.
  7. I've spent some value over the past few months to maintain my farm and I like where it stands. No elite prospects but plenty of top ~200 guys.
  8. Jorge Soler's breakout makes last offseason's five-way even more interesting. You can add jays_fever to the winners tally.
  9. Yeah I know lol. The arrows are consistent for each transaction, so if you know who got which side you can figure out the whole trade. Usually the team listed first in the trade arrow box received the assets pointing away from the box.
  10. How do you know what the $$ is? He's a fine depth right-handed reliever.
  11. KLaw severely dings pitchers who he doesn't think can start. It's why Luis Severino is off the list. Rafael Devers at 55 is interesting. This list is very upside-heavy.
  12. Alcantara is probably also a capable shortstop and ranked very high in mid-season lists before graduating. Orlando Arcia is a good prospect too and can stick at the position.
  13. I remember that Grant Green was the top shortstop prospect three or four years ago and everyone was talking about how and why the shortstop era was over. It's crazy how quickly that has changed. And these top five guys don't even include the top two shortstop prospects from last year, Bogaerts and Baez.
  14. KingKat must really like Zimmer. With CatsAss' full farm and high picks, he didn't have much of a use for Zimmer and picks up an interesting young power hitter. Credit to him.
  15. I actually don't mind Estrada making a few starts here and there, especially away from Rogers Centre. He's a pretty interesting swingman.
  16. Okay I think you're right. Is there anywhere I can read about what ZiPS, Steamer, etc. take into account?
  17. Nah I thought it was pretty high. I expected him to be available in the last round.
  18. A year or two ago I read that they didn't use current-season minor league stats, so I started looking for minor league breakouts too. You may be right though. King took him fairly high in #LOD.
  19. I dropped Worley to pick up Carlos Frias
  20. Seems like AA said legitimately interesting stuff in this interview. I'll have to listen the podcast.
  21. Yeah you're probably right. He doesn't satisfy the durability component, but the stuff/performance is indeed electric.
  22. Anyone who saw Carlos Carrasco pitch last year knows he's a true ace. The AL had absolutely no answer to Carrasco after he re-joined the rotation in August, and he has three plus-plus pitches. What he can do with a baseball is simply ridiculous. I don't want to upgrade my rotation. I'm probably cutting Vargas and will spent the first half finding the next breakout guys. Going into the season with seven top starters is a missed opportunity.
  23. It's the truth, what else am I going to say. Shortstop and catcher are upgradeable (Lowrie/McCann), but I checked in with elite SS/C (Tulo, Castro, Reyes, Posey, Lucroy, etc.) owners and there wasn't a fit. My other positions are set and I traded some pitching depth to get roster flexibility.
  24. Ang, you should source the comments as being from Bluebird Banter. The Devon Travis line is great. If he can play good defense, that's an average regular or better.
