  1. Nobody had Santana-Twins or Rios-Royals. Barryssyringe had Morse-Marlins. Free agents left to sign: Max Scherzer, James Shields, Kenta Maeda (looks like he'll stay in Japan), Colby Rasmus, Asdrubal Cabrera, Sergio Santos, Jake Peavy, Hiroki Kuroda, Edinson Volquez, K-Rod, Ryan Vogelsong, Nori Aoki, Aaron Harang, Stephen Drew, Casey Janssen, Josh Johnson, Rickie Weeks, Rafael Soriano, Emilio Bonifacio, and Dustin McGowan.
  2. Correct about Morrow-Padres: Angrioter, Deadpool, King, Spanky99, TBJ12, jays4life19, The Crowd. We now have a FOUR-WAY tie atop the leaderboard, with Lawrie22, sAAviour, TBJ12 and jays4life19.
  3. Gordon Beckham hasn't hit since 2009 lol. Eventually draft status and prospect reports stop being relevant.
  4. He also threw 3 mph harder before his TJS and not every pitcher recovers 100% from the surgery. Plus, Motte has never had a year as good as Neal Cotts did in 2013 by xFIP- (71). Joba posted an 88 xFIP- in 2014, which is as good as the second-best year of Motte's career. It's wrong to suppose that Motte has a superior upside.
  5. Motte was pretty bad in 25 innings (which isn't nothing) last year though and his velocity was down from previous levels. Good established set-up men get $4.5M a year; Motte isn't that. There are better options available. Neal Cotts, Jason Grilli or Joba Chamberlain could probably be had for a similar commitment.
  6. Are there any North American sources saying the Jays are front-runners for this guy? The Japanese newspapers are often wrong about this stuff.
  7. With the Melky signing, we now have sAAviour, Lawrie22 and jays4life19 all tied for first at 89 points! See the score totals here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PUvNIlwqb3_eVyQ3i_9iqKUf9U1b6k8HreqjnjyzilQ/edit#gid=0
  8. Jimmy Nelson is good but with Fiers' resurgence he doesn't really have a job.
  9. Blurnandez!
  10. And Carrasco. He had two absolute nails starts in the finals too. My big three: http://i.imgur.com/NQpO8mv.png
  11. He's discounted but I probably still think too much of him for the price to be met. Matt Kemp was the second best hitter in baseball in the second half. I believe he can maintain a similar level of performance going forward. Moving to San Diego will knock his production down a bit, but I still think he's a clear #1 outfielder. I'll send you a Proboards PM.
  12. I'm your man! Got three good ones. ---- I see that I still have Coco Crisp in the doc. I traded him to Queen B for Vargas.
  13. Hit me up on Proboards. Still trying to get a shortstop.
  14. I already posted that! Hysterical. Sad though, because you know plenty of fans think like this guy.
  15. No. Much like the Mariners, he only sees things in terms of dingers and RBIs. Dayan Viciedo has been sub-replacement for the past two seasons... it's amazing that Jack Z convinced us he was smart for a few years.
  16. Big upgrade for the M's!
  17. This makes me so happy. Dayan Viciedo was born to be a Mariner. Never change, Jack.
  18. Updated with today's transactions. The Blue Jays did NOT select anyone in the Rule 5 draft. The Crowd believed they would.
  19. Alfredo Simon (allegedly) killed somebody on New Years Eve a few years ago in the Dominican Republic. He was also sued earlier this year on rape allegations. He's just a bad dude. Kendrys Morales is probably not even as good as Justin Smoak. The Royals are making a big mistake.
  20. Red Sox to sign Masterson, per Olney.
  21. Tigers corner the market on murderer-rapists.
  22. Porcello was 29th in pitcher fWAR last year and was similarly valuable in previous years. He's probably better than many pitchers you'd consider to be #2/3 guys.
  23. Porcello is a ~3 win pitcher, Lester is a ~4 win guy. It's not as much of a downgrade as you'd think. Flipping Lester for Cespedes for Porcello was pretty smart. Last four seasons by xFIP- Porcello: 99, 94, 81, 97 Lester: 91, 96, 87, 73 Lester needs to sustain his recent performance to come out ahead. Porcello is a legit #2/3 starter.
  24. Most productive 12 hours ever for a front office? The Dodgers filled holes at catcher, second base, shortstop, third starter, middle relief. They did this by barely adding to their payroll and not trading ANY top prospects. That kind of efficiency isn't supposed to happen.
  25. I'm not an Andrew Heaney guy but yeah, that's probably not a good idea lol. Now that he's not in the same division as the Blue Jays, I'm finding it a lot of fun to cheer for Friedman.
