  1. 89. Clint Frazier NR. Austin Meadows Kris Bryant at 5 is going to make people angry.
  2. If you up to strikeouts to one per inning, there's only 3: Kershaw, Felix, Carrasco. All 2014. Kluber was very close too: 10.27/1.95/48%.
  3. If Tanaka stays healthy (huge if), the Yankees could be good too.
  4. Where are you reading that?
  5. Shields is only almost a lock to SD because nobody else is that interested. It seems like there's still time for another team to jump in.
  6. It was confusing people! This is at least more explicit.
  7. Can someone please remove the duplicate Tyrone Taylor entry on the spreadsheet? Thanks! Don't love this trade for Boxy from a roster management perspective. Now he'll have to store two prospect on his farm for the next year+, instead of one or zero (Rodon will likely earn the call this season). Those effects add up.
  8. Sure, I don't expect Bautista and EE to play 150+ games each. My totals would still represent a success.
  9. 32 - 31 - 26 for 89 total.
  10. Saying you're content is a personal statement; right/wrong doesn't come into play. Anyone is entitled to be content about anything. I'm content with how this offseason has gone and am looking forward to Spring Training.
  11. The "Bautista window" is outdated thinking IMO. With their young pitching nucleus and multiple other 5-win guys, the team's 2016+ outlook is much better now than it was at the time of the Marlins trade, when the window talk all started. Not everything needs to be in sync with the timelines of Bautista and EE. The fanbase should be excited about both the near and far future. With that said, I think Shields makes a lot of sense at 4 years, <$20M per. A playoff berth in 2015 would provide the organization with a huge wave of relief.
  12. No, the only pitchers penciled in are Felix, Kuma and Happ. Lloyd McClendon has said that the 4th spot is Paxton's to lose. The others will compete for the 5th starter spot. Here's an article from two days ago with quotes: http://m.mariners.mlb.com/news/article/108364400/mariners-righty-taijuan-walker-faces-tough-battle-for-final-rotation-spot
  13. This doesn't really have an effect on Rondon's value. Just a harmless mistake. I may be interested after the cut-down.
  14. Erasmo is in the mix too and he's out of options. I still think there's something there but the Mariners don't like him so I expect a trade.
  15. Yeah I didn't even bother to check if you had Rodon lol. Even did some research on him.
  16. He generated less whiffs on his change and threw it at a career-low frequency. For such a consistent pitcher, he changes his pitch mix a fair bit. Would you sign Shields at 4/76?
  17. I'm definitely interested in Shields. A four-year deal would end before our young pitching gets expensive and Buehrle's pact ends after this year which frees up room. You can also structure EE and Bautista extensions to heavily weight 2019, at which point Shields and Reyes will be off the payroll. They could buy out Reyes at $4M for 2018 too if he goes downhill. I think there's enough flexibility to do something here.
  18. What's happening with the board Twitter account? Having an active one seems like a good idea. Orioles Hangout has an active account and it generates plenty of interest for their community.
  19. Our favourite Fangrapher was on MLB Network today! http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/7417714/v37207141/caron-cistulli-on-war-evaluating-minor-leaguers
  20. How many divisions and playoff teams? In a redraft paid league I prefer fewer divisions (1 or 2).
  21. I've used it in North York and have never had issues. You should be fine and, as TwistedLogic suggests, if they do re-implement blackouts there are solutions to that. Plus, you can also watch 2268 Major League games that are surely blackout-free. It's a fantastic value proposition.
  22. The second half of an auction takes much less time because everyone's spent their money and so it proceeds similarly to a snake draft. I don't think slicing an auction draft in half would be very effective. You're always going to have the time-consuming first half.
  23. Maybe if I have a free day during reading week.
  24. Yeah he was traded for Kershaw last offseason and still has a very bright future.
  25. Two catchers? Innings minimum? Pool distribution?
