does it really matter where the jays draft as long as AA's gut is in charge of making the decisions? dont even bring in the whole lack of development in the jays farm.

amazing athlete, but the whole concept of team is not always there. if he is kept in line he could be one of the best, but he has the mental focus of a gnat at times. tight reigns and the occasional trip to the principals office is what he needs. -

at least Loney wont be walking around like a pregnant woman if he has to play first base 2 days in a row.

not sure where he was digging up those numbers, but I felt all last season that Loney would be a good option FA to play 1st and give the jays a good OBP guy who gets it. not like "guys who get it" are easy to find in the jays present numbers.

yes... I get it. you are rating what they have a higher than I am. catcher 2nd base 1 or 2 starters maybe a LF if Melky still cant play without roids. who do they trade to fill the spots without making more holes?

Dickey is not a number 1. I think Stroman can be a solid 2 if he stays healthy, but he is not going to start 30 games in 2014. that would be a huge jump in innings and not going to happen. they are going to need to go out and get a front end guy. slot where they want, but they need another guy who can pitch 200 innings and have an ERA under 3.5. as for being better than last year, they just need to stay healthy to be better, but a little better is not good enough. I really wonder how much less pitching they would need if they had a real catcher? I know it's not all on JPA, but he's not helping the pitching much from behind the plate. having a catcher who is mechanically sound and not dead from the neck up could really help with getting some of the younger guys to the next level. hutch getting an ass whooping.

Morrow wont make 25 starts which means they will need more than depth. Dickey could be anywhere from unhittable to unwatchable. will be interesting how many dingerz he gives up next year. the only lock in the list is Buehrle for a solid season of 200+ innings of solid number 4 starts.

forget Price, jays need to go all in and get the Rays farm system and scouting. they churn out great pitchers like koenigsegg puts out cars. you can count how many they make a year on your fingers, but they are all amazing.

have no idea why. sure, he's an ok 3 or 4, but not for the money he is going to get and the jays have 3,4 covered well enough. if they are going to pay that kind of money it better be a number 1 or 2 guy.

no one in their right mind would. Jays have enough fringe guys who could match Garza production for league minimum.

absolutely... he could very well step into the lineup as their number 2 starter next year. 1) free agent 2)Stroman 3)the Dick 4)Buehrle 5) any one of a plethora of options.

Strohman is a potential number 2. he might be the best pitcher the jays have until AA goes out and gets a better one. you dont deal front end pitchers when you are super thin at the front end. Sanchez and Stroman 2 of the guys that the jays really need to pan out going forward. trading either would be borderline brain dead. any stupid deals this off season will seal AA's fate and he can go back to the mail room where they found his fat greek ass.
