    15 and 16 year olds play on the under 18 team and there are under 21 teams as well. . nice try though. completely different system in Europe. more like american college teams where your team has to qualify to play in a division. the bottom teams drop out and top teams from lower divisions move up. let me know if you need to be schooled again.     baseball in Europe has actually grown since the Dutch had such a good run at the WBC.

    checked out the video. pitchers throwing easy cheese. It's not much more than a BP fastball and it was a high school curve. will be interesting to see how he does in A ball.

    I still find it strange that he suddenly deviated from his constant mantra of build to be a constant contender, to lets make some really bad deals and screw up our farm. I still think Beeston got in his ear and pushed him into something that he didn't want to do.

    I'd love to see that happening on a regular basis at the park. Amazing catch that not many guys can make. It's one of the top plays in baseball.

    I wouldn't mind seeing them move the fences back just a little, but put a 7 ft wall out there. it would make for a lot of spectacular over the wall catches. I love the fences at camden yard. always cool to see a fielder take one away.

    for me the big thing is that we still have our rotation and young studs in tact.

    what AA has done this off season falls in line with what he preached when he first started. It really stinks of Beeston changing the course in 2012. maybe The team did nothing last year because AA didn't want to be forced into more mistakes?who know....

    Dirks will make people cringe on defense. if you think it's ugly watching Melky, you will hate seeing Dirks.

    neither trade filled holes, they were just upgrades and getting Martin is probably the biggest step forward since AA traded away the horrendous Wells contract. Our pitching just got a lot better. I just hope the front office isn't going to do this half way. We need to Fill in some holes. Our offense looks pretty good. We have a lot of guys who are high OBP hitters and a s*** load of pop. If we can add a LF who can hit... sweet!

    Melky isn't graceful in the field and his routes are not always the best, but he gets to most of the balls he should and makes the throws he should. His offense more than makes up for the 2 or maybe 3 balls he doesn't get too. I'd sign Melky and go with the Devil I know.

    you do realize that it wouldn't be that kind of skid right? and it wont be rolls. lol

    at least he doesn't do his Hulk Hogan impression after he makes a play. Lawrie was so over the top red bull induced frenzy after making a play. Remember when guys were avoiding Lawrie's high fives in the dugout? love watching Lawrie but Donaldson is a lot more even keel.

    I'm sure most of us would be willing to sing to Melky if he paid us 39M. even if he had to pay it out over 3 years.

    so far jays have only upgraded at C and 3rd. they still haven't filled any of the holes that still exist even if people are enamored with the sparkly new toys.
