And to further your point, what was Janssen before he was a good middle reliever? A failed starter. A lot of failed starters can turn into good middle relievers, and a lot of good middle relievers can turn into good closers. They're pretty replaceable.

You're confusing me. Do you mean that it just doesn't change anything for you? In which case I disagree but not enough to bother arguing. it takes it from "really stupid" to "pretty stupid" for me.

You would support that? I would love it if I thought it would end well. I just don't think it would go all that well. There would be a huge adjustment period and Carlyle would probably bench him during that time and it just wouldn't work imo. Although, in the offseason, I think I might support it. It's an interesting thought.
