Hopefully this'll help some of the Santana supporters veer away from him as an option.
What would you think of Nolasco at 80/5? I think it's too much but I think at the right price he's interesting.
And to further your point, what was Janssen before he was a good middle reliever? A failed starter. A lot of failed starters can turn into good middle relievers, and a lot of good middle relievers can turn into good closers. They're pretty replaceable.
If anyone is winning the Marlins deal, it's Loria.

I'm getting a free Leafs jersey. Any ideas on who's name I should get on the back? I already have a Kessel so it's between JVR, Kadri and Gardiner for me.
You're confusing me. Do you mean that it just doesn't change anything for you? In which case I disagree but not enough to bother arguing. it takes it from "really stupid" to "pretty stupid" for me.
You would support that?
I would love it if I thought it would end well. I just don't think it would go all that well. There would be a huge adjustment period and Carlyle would probably bench him during that time and it just wouldn't work imo.
Although, in the offseason, I think I might support it. It's an interesting thought.
