  1. Cool! I guess I stopped paying attention to BIS stuff when Statcast came out. For the record I'm a proponent of Morales, Metafour. I don't know why his GB MPH matters, but as I've posted recently, he was in the 92nd percentile of batted ball distance (which is still one of the problem with these stats as guys who hit squibblers sometimes can see that fall disproportionately although I think they might've fixed that?). He also hit for a higher percentage of barrelled balls than Edwin and JD!
  2. Hard% is literally a guy sitting at a computer watching the game typing in "Hard" "Medium" or "Soft." A lot of it is wrong and to say that "factually" he has "elite batted ball stats" based on that is more than likely wrong.
  3. I didn't even know I entered a contest
  4. Nice job putting this together. If possible, should probably delete mine - mine were a "should" win, not a "will win."
  5. I don't see why it "needs" to be Fowler. He probably won't be worth what he gets paid.
  6. I'm getting passed around between Normans, Darrells and whatever remains of the Howies like latkas at the dinner table
  7. 2nd highest guy on Gurriel. Marginally less excited to look slightly less smart at some point soon.
  8. Wow. Lourdes only 5th is surprising.
  9. Exchange rate really kills his value.
  10. The article suggested him as a reliever. Not a bad idea

It would still be nice to trade him for Noel.

  14. what a thread
  15. Sure but it doesn't take batted ball profile into account. Is Coors more beneficial to Kevin Pillar or Mark Reynolds's adjusted stats? Does Safeco hurt Adeiny Hechavarria more than it does Evan Gattis? Kauf is, on average, a difficult park to score runs in, but the dimensions make it even worse for a FB hitter. It's really not that big an adjustment, but consider that Morales' projected wRC+ went up to 112 when he signed up.
  16. and so the transition into Hurl begins
  17. They're pretty stacked rn
  18. The team probably wouldn't be significantly worse than last year's, if at all.
  19. So we have two positional holes, two RPs, and ~$32m to spend? That's enough room for like Reddick, Pearce, and idk, Hoch/Blanton/Blevins/Smith/Ramirez/Henderson choose 2? Also: s***** process but good idea as to why Corbin might be a good target out of the pen http://toronto.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2016/11/10/patrick-corbin-potential-andrew-miller-clone-and-blue-jays-target/?utm_content=buffer405dc&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
