Kind of surprised they didn't bring in Varland to finish this. He has been incredible all season and didn't go yesterday.

Sewald has been good but there's also alot of underlying luck in his sub 1 ERA since coming over. Decent chance he gives something up

It's weird man. People who's background is from places near the equator... they look like theyre 30 until they're like 70. 

Then they look 90 the next day. It's like "old" just comes in the mail one day.

Jays fans showed what great fans we have, even with the disappointing season we had, fans stuck with the team all year and rarely booed our players. Shows that we are on a different level then most other teams fanbases like the Yankees.

Why would George accept that, they'd cost them around 15M I'd think? If they did us a favour, that'd be sexy, though.

Yeah it would have to be a favour, taking a discount to stick around. Scherzer already has shown he's willing to take a discount. Not sure if George does. Especially since he sold his place in Toronto, I don't think he's coming back. 

Do you think a team signs Springer to a one-year deal around $12-15M? As an aging DH coming off a bad season? Goldy signed for $4M last offseason to stay with the Yankees, so I don't see Springer demanding anymore than $7-8M on a one-year deal if he still wanted to play.

Bad season? He had a slow start and broke his toe, he's been very good since semi healthy? It'd have to be at a discount according to your take. The guy can still hit.

Whether he retires or not is up to him and Max, they'll be signing late in a lockout if that happens after December 1st. The last CBA deadline.
