Glad they won, but the offense (especially Vlady) has to start executing to have any real chance.

So far this series:

Jays - 24 hits, 5 runs

Yankees - 8 hits, 6 runs

Just keep hitting and good things will happen.

Well I hope that finally happens because the Jays are in bottom 3rd in OPS with risp this season, only ahead of the Guardians and Royals.

Yankees lefty Ryan Weathers was pulled from his outing on Saturday against the Blue Jays with forearm discomfort, per a team announcement. He’s headed for imaging. Weathers was removed with one out and two runners on in the fourth inning during a Myles Straw at-bat.

Weathers labored through his outing before the injury. He had already thrown 72 pitches to get 10 outs. Toronto was threatening to break open a tight game. As Bryan Hoch of MLB.com noted, something appeared to go wrong on his final pitch to Straw

That’s confusing since he had an earned run today. Does it still count as a scoreless inning because he wasn’t pitching when it happened even though it was still his runner?

His streak was 36 innings heading into this game + 6 innings of shutout ball = 42.  (hope my math is correct)
