Vladdy's fat ass was jogging on that play (again).  Clearly the coaching staff isnt trying to hold him accountable for his half ass effort.

Why he's batting leadoff is beyond me

Batting Ernie third is also a major reach, but rhh/lhh splits in the line up is more important I guess.

He's one of the only above average hitters we have.

Nor is anyone else.  Player's police the team.

And almost all players jog out routine plays.

That clearly wasn't a routine play when the 3rd baseman had to dive for the ball.

Part of a coaches job is to police the damn team, wtf are you even saying lol

Damn man... Lukes' hamstring clearly hasnt healed.  He was struggling around the bases there.  A normal Lukes scores easily on that play.

I was wondering that myself…kinda forgot vladdy got out at second and then was happy Luke’s was running, then surprised when he didn’t make it. Laboring for sure but damn is he hitting and fielding nicely!

It can definitely be a shared responsibility but we clearly arent seeing the managers side of that responsibility in the public.  It can be happening behind closed doors but then youd expect some accountability when that doesnt translate onto the field...

I agree.

It starts with the manager and the coaching staff. But typically you'd expect some of the veterans to talk and set the expectation of fixing the things the players can control, like running hard. But our veterans are the ones struggling the most. Can BV or somebody take on a leadership role? We know Kirk is more of a quiet leader (and probably won't say s*** to anybody about running.)

Scherzer needs to pitch a no hitter while the blue jays score zero runs on 10 hits. Walk off win for the other team bottom 9. Mad Max goes absolutely full apeshit on the offense

I can dream

I think only Gausman has that seniority
