Good win Jays I'm sorry I'll always have Jeff Hoffman trust issues, Especially after last year.

He just doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence with the shaky command.

Obviously the stuff is good but it feels like if guys would just not swing, he’d walk the yard

Just get Rogers up, he doesn't look like he can throw strikes.

Haha 99% of the baseball world including several reputable baseball analysts are crapping on Hoffman BUT a few members from this board think otherwise.  I wonder who's on the right side here...

Have a good night man lol.  Go Jays Go!

Insane strikeout rate which is why. Nobody is denying his ability to miss bats.

Yeah seems like Jays will be sticking with him. Worked out nicely last night that it was a 5-2 game, so he had some cushion at least. Hopefully he finds his groove and could get back on track.

AL Cy Young.

Just needs to work on being more efficient and pitch 6-7 innings each time. So far Cease has been insane!

RE: Hoffman

In the game where he gave up the homerun to Carroll the first hit they got was a poorly hit bloop that found a hole.  The second was a groundball that found a hole on a pitch that was a foot out of the zone.  Those were both unlucky, which has been happening to Hoffman a lot (.571 BABIP at the moment).  Now the bad, it seemed once those first two got on he fell apart and there likely is a mental issue there given the struggles of late.  You can't have your closer fall apart when the going gets tough, he has to be better in high pressure.

Hands up if you were hiding behind the sofa after the first batter!

Good to see Hoffman rebound - whether you like him or not, he is going to have to turn things around, or we are in deep doo-doo.

The stars aligned nicely for JS to slot him in against the bottom of their order. I wonder if he would have thrown him in there if the top of their order was due up in the 9th.

Cease is something else. If PW can work his magic and make him more efficient, we might have something really special here.

Offensively, runs 3, 4, and 5 had Blue Jays 2025 written all over them. More of the same, please!
