Usually the starters moving to the bullpen for the postseason are guys who have really good stuff. I don't know if Berrios or Eric Lauer with their kitchen sink arsenals, vetrin presents and traditional windups are what anyone has in mind as a fireman break glass in case of emergency reliever.

Usually starters going into the bullpen in playoffs are the weaker starters who struggle to go late in the games or tend to be extremely streaky and not someone to trust in over high leverage roles. If you have to bring them into a game out of bullpen usually only done when game is all but over or starter is injured and HAS to come out of the game. Rarely brought in on tight games unless it goes extra innings and need multiple innings out of someone. This has been my experience with player baseball and with watching it for over 40 years.
