Matt McGrain Verified Member Posted March 14, 2025 Posted March 14, 2025 I got a REALLY good feeling about this season, I think play offs. Can anyone break down the Vlady options for me very briefly? I don't really know how trading works yet.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 14, 2025 Posted March 14, 2025 In the case of trading Vladdy, there are two options: 1. Trade him before Opening Day, which feels almost impossible at this point. But the return will be *much* higher because any player who is traded before OD is eligible to receive a Qualifying Offer, which means the team will gain a draft pick in the 2026 draft after Vlad leaves in free agency this offseason. 2. Between OD and July 31, Guerrero is eligible to be traded to any team, though he will not be eligible for the Qualifying Offer. Matt McGrain 1
