ReedJohnsonfan82 Verified Member Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 Hello Fine People, Heading to LA in August and will be hoping to attend the Jays game on the 10th against the Dodgers - is any one else making the trip down and if so do we tend to congregate around/behind the away dugout? Tickets there on Stub Hub are quite high really and I know it's baseball but wearing Jays gear around other parts of the stadium perfectly acceptable? I posted something similar on Reddit and it got me banned "why don't you ask on the Dodgers sub", though positively I got some friendly and kind replies originally, I know Reddit is a low key cesspool but that took me by surprise
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 I asked a question on the jays subreddit and had the post taken down for... reasons. I f***ing hate reddit. Anyway, welcome to a place you will not be banned!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 Anyway, as to your question. I lived in the LA area for nine-ish years but only went to Dodgers Stadium maybe 5-6 times (was much closer to Anaheim). You have absolutely no concerns wearing road gear in a SoCal stadium. LA in particular is 50% transplants anyway so there will be lots of Jays gear around the stadium.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 I was at Dodger Stadium for the Jays series probably four years ago. My family and I all had our gear on and had no problems. Lots of Jays fans too more than I thought I remember leaving the stadium was a nightmare. Not sure how to avoid that. Overall a great experience and glad we went

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 Yeah like Brock and L54 said, getting in and out of Dodgers Stadium can be chaotic. Even after the game, there isn't any area with bars/restaurants to hang out around to wait for traffic to die down. As well, the Stadium isn't really walkable from anywhere, so need to either drive or take an Uber. As long as you don't wear a San Francisco Giants jersey, you'll be good haha. wilko 1
ReedJohnsonfan82 Verified Member Posted January 8, 2025 Author Posted January 8, 2025 I'm driving down from Mountain View (seeing Creed, don't judge) and staying in LA for x2 days, so I'm booking a hotel with a 25-30min walk from Dodger Stadium (Chinatown) to avoid any parking or traffic issues...guessing the weather could be the only issue doing that? Appreciate the reassurance friends, I went to Anaheim a good few years ago (figured people in Anaheim might me more friendly than LA) and was shocked how well the Jays fans travel that far down on the West Coast...wasn't even a particular good season but Murrow through a 3 hit shutout that night. wilko 1
