jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 I bet $5 that Ketel Marte wins MVP at 29 to 1, $2 on Marcus Semien at 51 to 1 and $3 on Riley Greene at 81 to 1 haha.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 How many ab's does Vladdy get? One, two? If the bat around he may get two.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 How many ab's does Vladdy get? One, two? If the bat around he may get two. Likely two.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Why are they showing pitch speed as 3 digits if it's not 100+? "095" stupid
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 If you're watching the game on SN, I strongly suggest watching it on Fox. Hahaha.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 that was actually strike three against Soto.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Hah... Turner took that hit away on VGJ. While mic'd up,
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Ohtani stamped MVP with that bomb.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Shohei forgot the HR derby was yesterday
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 Teo......what are you doing bro Wait till Teo costs a big run in the playoffs for the Dodgers. They'll chase him out of town after that.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 Mason Miller velo is just effortless.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Wait till Teo costs a big run in the playoffs for the Dodgers. They'll chase him out of town after that. he doesn't belong in centre
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Ohtani stamped MVP with that bomb. Jarren Duran: Hold my beer!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Hunter Greene getting hit hard, and there goes a Duran bomb. Welp!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Jarren Duran: Hold my beer! One of them two, hah!

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 That seemed like the wrong call… obvious obstruction by Naylor no?? Odd
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 That seemed like the wrong call… obvious obstruction by Naylor no?? Odd obstruction call is so rare, I think Naylor was just trying to find the bag
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 The National League has a CF now, love Teo, but...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Facing Mason Miller must be like WTF
Joltin Joe Verified Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 Mason Miller velo is just effortless. So many pitchers throwing over 100mph now. Years ago only one was Ryan. It's getting common place
The_DH Verified Member Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 So many pitchers throwing over 100mph now. Years ago only one was Ryan. It's getting common place I always think back to the starting rotations of the 80's when hitting 90 was considered something and 95 was blazing. But at the same time, we had 4 starters going well over 200 IP at a time. That won't happen with the 100 mph fastballs.

That won't happen with the 100 mph fastballs. 100% You'd have a 4th starter who sat at 87/88, struck out 5 per 9, walked 3 per 9, and threw 200 innings a year. The pitching depth and hitters were just so awful back then. The game has advanced so far.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 This new generation of super high velo/high K / low innings pitched guys just pretty much have to expect they'll need TJS at some point in the career. Good thing is most come back OK in about a year.

Me watching the all-star game with my dad and when Mason Miller came out I was like "oh this guy throws over 100" then I realized, wait most of them throw 100 now lol.
