Our bench is Vogelbach and the other catcher. I'm sure Serven is a bit faster but it's not really worth emptying out the bench any further in case of emergency.

Yeah I guess. This is where a player like Lukes is more valuable imo over Vogelbach. His power doesn't warrant a 26 man spot imo, he literally does nothing else.

The options are Serven and Vogelbach. So option 1 is another catcher who probably doesn't provide much difference in speed, and option 2 is the only athlete on earth that might be slower than Kirk.

 

Really don't understand the point of Vogelbach being on this roster if he's playing 1 game in 8 days. Just put Lukes in that spot you at least have a pinch runner.
