hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Of course Kirk finds way to get doubled off. you mean Merrifield
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I mean, he didn't get caught stealing I was referring to "his stupidness" more so than the stealing part. For a veteran, he's been caught on the bases far too many damn times unnecessarily.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 you mean Merrifield Merrifield ya but Kirk with another s***** ass hit when something big was needed.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Well we have hit our share of liners these past couple of innings, just right at them. Tough slogging.
James Key Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Varshow looks like a below average hitter for sure. 12 DRS really worth Moreno and Lourdes? I don’t know. That trade keeps looking worse and worse
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Tough spot for Whit trying to get jump to score and win but you have to know where the IF is behind you and make sure its through. His first move was to third and thats all it took. Sucks.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Merrifield ya but Kirk with another s***** ass hit when something big was needed. the entire team
Jays333 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Even with a man gifted into scoring position and the red sox scraping the bottom of whats a weak bullpen to begin with and we still cant score s***. This team is the worst watch this season.
James Key Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 It’s nice to see hicks here. He can really show his worth. Do you guys resign him with starting opportunities incentivized? Edit: fml
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Ya, some people talking a 2/25 deal or more. Pass. Very useful player but will be under 2 WAR and he isn't getting younger or faster. He probably still gets 2/20 or 1/10 as a FA right now. But yeah with the emergence of Schneider, better to save that money and spend elsewhere on the roster.
deanmike Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Montoyo will always be infinitely worse, but I am really starting to hate JS.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Need Springer and Bo to walk so they have to pitch to Vlady. It’s basically their only chance.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 He probably still gets 2/20 or 1/10 as a FA right now. But yeah with the emergence of Schneider, better to save that money and spend elsewhere on the roster. Easy. He's a major league 2B
infinitebook Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 If Horwitz had been PH for Whit, Espinal would have remained at 3B and Horwitz would slot in at LF. Maybe this is just me but if a hit wins the game I don't give a f*** that Horwitz has never played an inning of LF in the majors. We're talking about an injured Whit who is playing through it and ice cold right now. Ok? you can have your opinion, I was just annoyed you acted like I was an idiot when what I said was very reasonable lol
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 probably have no book on Reyes
dippitybop Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 The good thing is we have 1 2 3 bats coming up. The bad thing is we have 1 2 3 bats coming up.
Jays333 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 They have no chance to score on the Red Sox 8th pitcher of the game
deanmike Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Ok? you can have your opinion, I was just annoyed you acted like I was an idiot when what I said was very reasonable lol I can't see any reason to have not pinch hit Horwitz for either Espinal or Whit in that situation. Also I could say you acted like I was an idiot thinking I don't know how the defensive realignments would work.

Also I could say you acted like I was an idiot thinking I don't know how the defensive realignments would work. So how would they work?
James Key Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Varshow has wheels. And george is due for a good clutch swing.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Good teams would have won the game already. Tha Jays are not a good team
Jays333 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 lol we have literally been gift wrapped every opportunity to win this game, can this sad sack of a team do something
deanmike Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 So how would they work? If Horwitz had PH for Espinal, Horwitz would have slotted in at LF, Whit shifts to 2B, Biggio shifts to 3B. The Horwitz for Whit PH scenario was simple because Whit was already at LF. I realize Horwitz should normally only play 1B/DH, but he has played a fair amount of LF in the minors and we're talking about a situation where a hit almost certainly would have won the game.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Springer fouling off meatballs
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 How did Bichette get so dumb?
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Well how are we going to screw this runner on 3rd, 1 out situation up
James Key Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Sigh george just isn’t that catalyst anymore … two cookies
