What a difference with Bo in the lineup though.

 

Need Belt and Chapman back and the lineup looks much more intimidating again. Let Schneider start at 2B everyday and have Whit and Varsho platoon LF. Occasional start for Biggio/Espinal somewhere.

 

No more f***ing around with Schneider on the bench, he needs to be playing over guys like Whit/Varsho/Chapman if push comes to shove.

It's great that they won and all, but they almost lost... almost lost to a team with a .310 winning percentage.

I did. I also think the last wildcard team in the AL will be gone after 2 games in the post season.

 

So if the Jays manage to sneak up to WC2 then you think they’ll fare better in the playoffs??

The real test will be when everyone is healthy (Chapman and Belt). Will JS play Davis over a vetrin? Common sense says yes, but common sense isn't necessarily his strong point. If Davis is healthy, then he should be playing every game for the rest of the season. Find a way to get his bat into the lineup even if it isn't the optimal defensive alignment. Merrifield going into more of a utility role would make the most sense. He's been awful for over a month.

Chapman can take the rest of the month off and let his finger heal. If for some reason Davis Schneider doesn't start the rest of the remaining games other than being hurt, then..
