Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Arozerena up first… Is it just me or is this way too fast?? Hard to tell whats even going on Yes. It's not nearly as much fun to watch.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 Holy crap Rutschman is a beast. Massive advantage as a switch hitter??
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 La Pantera popped off jeez
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 26 pretty good, he missed quite a few but second most in the first round so far?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 26 pretty good, he missed quite a few but second most in the first round so far? Yeah plus he easily has the most long-distance shots. Not bad. Although the announcers even noticing his swing is different compared to last derby
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 It’s uncomfortable watching Mookie.
PitaBaby Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Mookie can have three pairs of shades on and he'd still look like the sun's in his eyes
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 It’s uncomfortable watching Mookie. He’s not on the same level as the other guys power-wise, even though he has 20+ homers for the season. Like his wife said, I think he’s just doing it to check it off his bucket list
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 J-Rod putting on a show for the Home crowd.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Holy s*** J Rod is a machine. We shall see how he bounces back after that type of all out sprint.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 So far Vladdy has both the hardest hit home run and is tied for the weakest.
Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Alonso's pitcher is terrible.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Alonso's pitcher is terrible. No kidding. Those were some wicked cutters for batting practice pitches.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 Alonso's pitcher is terrible. Yeah apparently this guy wasn’t supposed to be the pitcher, his normal BP guy had an arm issue
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Pete’s gotta be pissed with those pitches. Would’ve been a lot closer with his original pitcher.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Vlads got a good chance against Rodriguez but I think Rodriguez is in better shape to take him to the finals.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Author Posted July 11, 2023 Vlads got a good chance against Rodriguez but I think Rodriguez is in better shape to take him to the finals. Yeah Jrod probably takes it
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Vladd has no chance against Julio. His round was so impressive
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 I'd normally say that Julio exerted too much energy to have a great second round, but then again, Vladdy looked gassed himself. I think if Vladdy gets off to a hot start he has a great chance to advance as Julio will pressure himself to catch up and get even more tired. Edit - nevermind, I thought Vladdy would have to swing first.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 The broadcast doesn't lend itself very well to this timed form of derby, sadly. I like that it moves forward quickly but after the first couple rounds it gets pretty bland to watch.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Vlad has a good chance here to go to the finals
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Vlad can do this. It’s only 20
