Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 We shouldn’t be subjected to Belt and Biggio in the same lineup But it's early.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Lineup balance when the lefties suck isn’t all that.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Jays need to realize the ump doesn’t call the bottom,of the zone. If it’s low, let it go
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I don't think it's premature to say, but putting Belt on a phantom IL stint and seeing what we got in Horowitz for a few weeks is looking good from here.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I mean this would be the spot to use Espinal.
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 just DFA Biggio. He's not a major league player.

Yes it is, the chances that Horwitz is better than Belt going forward is quite low.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Okay, if Biggio can't hit breaking balls over the heart of the plate, we actually have a problem.

They already know what Horowitz is. He won’t strike out much, but he also won’t hit for power. Singles and walks while not having a defensive home other than 1b and DH. It’s not a great profile
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 We shouldn’t be subjected to Belt and Biggio in the same lineup Even against righties It just doesn't seem to matter
Floortom Verified Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Belt’s at bats are relatively competitive. He generally swings at the right pitches, has a decent approach. He just can’t get anything done. Biggio’s plate appearances are painful to watch though. I don’t know how we can keep trotting him out there
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Rip. I guess Duran is legit this year.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Wasn’t even a bad pitch, just a good knock
Floortom Verified Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 That wasn’t a bad pitch or anything. Duran just destroyed the ball

You can see Belt is patient, swings when he should, not when he shouldn’t…he just has some mechanical issues that is screwing him up big time. That weird hitch in his swing is causing him to be late on virtually everything Biggio is just passive, like he’s guessing at whether the pitch will be a strike or not and just decides ahead of time is he wants to swing, he waits so long to commit to a swing and by that time any fastball is past him and breakers fool him
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Thanls for waiting to take berrios out
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Probably should have went to your lefty for all the leftys
