Terrible choice to use your sixth best reliever in this spot. Questionable managing.

Yeah, that situation was screaming Bass or Swanson.

Cimber is a mop up reliever at best

Just bring up Pearson. 100 mph at least is still challenging if down the middle. 84 mph cookie fastballs aren't fooling anyone

1 game lmao. Good try though

Hes pitched in 3 games.

Hes allowed 3 walks and 3 hits in 2.2 IP.

Not exactly screaming a call up. Nice try though.

Jay Jackson should be the first person to get the call if anybody.

Schneider should be double checking with Mattingly on every move. No way Mattingly would bring in cimber in that situation

Oh no, he walked a couple of batters and gave up a hit in cold ass weather lmao

He can come up when he starts throwing strikes. Everyones throwing in the same weather. Other pitchers seem to be doing fine.

Swanson has pitched a lot so far, and Garcia has pitched 2 games in a row. Probably should have went with Bass in that spot instead of Cimber, but for some reason Schneider thinks Cimber and Mayza are high leverage guys. Cimber's been very solid since coming to the Jays but I'm not putting a guy throwing mid 80s out there against Trout with runners on base.

I said it in the off-season and I will say it again. The Jays needed 2 more relievers. They tried to sign Kenley Jansen not sure why they didn't go after anyone else after he picked Boston.

Theres enough decent depth to get to the trade deadline but heres hoping an addition or 2 is made and we get Chad Green back and healthy.

It would have been huge if Phelps was still pitching for the Jays.

Well he retired so lol.

Schneider really does love Cimber. He gave him the save against KC after all.

Im certain if you asked JS to order the relievers, Cimber is his #2 and Garcia is #3 with Mayza vs Lefties right behind.

He also tends to go to Cimber a lot with guys on base thinking he can get a DP. Sometimes it works but Cimber doesn’t have enough swing and miss for those situations IMO.

Well considering hes in AAA apparently they don't think much of him right now either.

Coming into todays game Trout has an ops of 1.000 versus Cimber. :(

The pen is good, perfectly serviceable but we’re definitely lacking a 2nd elite arm after Romano.
