Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Well f*** what West Coast game starts this earlier.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Vladdy with a rare home run +1 +1 LTBF
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Horwitz for his first career Home Run +8 for no one
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 I think the Horwitz HR should count as bench on a technicality. Belt was in the lineup and got taken out...lol. Isn't that bench? (I need this...)

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 What is the rule if someone in the original lineup gets scratched and replaced? Does that replacement player count in the starting lineup or on the bench?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Author Posted September 4, 2023 What is the rule if someone in the original lineup gets scratched and replaced? Does that replacement player count in the starting lineup or on the bench? I have always considered it a bench pick. Something we can discuss changing moving forward

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 I have always considered it a bench pick. Something we can discuss changing moving forward If they start the game at the position they are a Starter regardless of how it happened. They take the field as the original 9. I don't know how they could be considered bench. But that's just me. But anyway I am going with Bench.

A lot more people use to make their picks before the lineup came out so if you picked someone and they weren't a starter the guy would be available off the bench. I also don't think we should just default to the guy that did start over the original pick. Should the pick just be counted as a loss?

My understanding was always if the original player was out of the lineup then the people who picked that player were moved to picking the bench. In my opinion this makes the more sense. It's up to the people to keep track of the change being made to the lineup and therefore pick another player before the first Blue Jays at bat.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 This isn't hard man, he started in the game. Therefore it isn't a bench homer. No one took the guy, zero points.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Same here, Schneider for tonight.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 when do the points get posted? what's the tie breaker?
