Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Pretty good squads from both teams. ST games are ramping up to opening day squads earlier because of WBC probably.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Where is Belt? Slowly building up after his offseason knee surgery. Next on the depth chart would be Brandon Belt, who has been working behind the scenes doing infield work, taking batting practice and running as he gets back into baseball shape following a knee injury of his own. "I feel really good right now physically,” Belt said. “I'm just in the process of building my body up to get ready for games. And as far as the overall health of my body, it's good right now." The 34-year-old may be a week or so from getting into games, but he expects two weeks of spring competition to be more than enough. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-make-tough-call-with-guerrero-jr-but-caution-makes-sense/
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Well that was a stinky first inning
The_DH Verified Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Berrios' pitches, individually seem to look pretty good, it just seems he doesn't use them together correctly. Maybe he needs somebody to come in and re-order how/where he throws.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Wheeler getting roughed up by the AAA dudes
MikeM3 Verified Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Berrios's 4S gets killed by LHB. He might as well give them the sinker again. We split that up when he got here and it's not working. Put down the bottle Pete.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Bo can't be stopped this spring Carrying on from the last month of 2022

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 He gives up a decent amount of fly balls but doesn’t give up hard contact. Also solid strikeout to walk numbers

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Varsho should steal easily off Kimbrel
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 And there it is, uncontested lol.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Wow, absolutely perfect throw by Jansen.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 Happy they kept Jansen, hope he stays healthy.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 So I suspect that our former OFs would have probably been an out at 3rd base or got caught in a run down on the bases with the ball hit to the 3rd base side. I also suspect they wouldn't have been on 2nd in the first place. I am also pretty sure that the ball hit to Varsho in LF wouldn't have been caught. So run prevention OF, SBs, and no extra outs on the basepaths. Those little things add up.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 Varsho is a little bulldog.
