Well... The evidence would be that they didn't have their title stripped. If Astros were the only team cheating the other 29 owners would have turned against them real quick.

 

Probably because MLB is a business and stripping the Astros of the title would be bad for business. Meting out some personnel consequences was really the only option.

From what we do know, they were almost certainly one of the most egregious cheaters.

 

That should be enough to tarnish them for a while, fairly.

 

I don't know why you feel the need to whataboutism this. They were stealing signs and banging trash cans in the World Series???

 

For the record, the Red Sox are also bad.

And the Cardinals suck too (remember when they hacked the Astros database, lmao?).

And the Braves - international signing cheaters.

 

That's fair - my point is most people who still joke and rip the Astros don't realize or acknowledge this - nor do they acknowledge that every team in the league had pitchers who were cheating and I think that's wrong. It's like how my 6 year old knows that Barry Bonds cheated and I have to explain to him that while that's true - in all likelihood, half the pitchers he was facing were also cheating. Adults should be smarter than my 6 year old.
