I've seen some poor umpiring in my life, but I think this home plate umpire is the very worst that I have ever seen. They have to fire this bum.

I've been watching the game, but not commenting here. I assume we're all justifiably incensed at this absolutely f***ing imbecile behind the plate?

ya he needs to be fired to the moon off vladdy's bat.

Did he hurt his arm throwing or something??

Last night before game he was talking to Bo about his elbow putting pressure on spots. Not sure if it's that.

Espinals had some bad luck lately but it's time to move him down to the 8th/9th spot.

He’ll be a low .700’s Ops bat, then go on a run to .800 and you think he might be that, then he regresses back. Prob is low .700’s

Don't let the s***** ump distract you from the huge knockers sitting behind home plate.

I definitely see one boob behind home plate.

So espy decides to give up on a pitch that was given all game. Teo swings like he thinks he's even getting a fastball to hit.

These guys really don't come out with a plan.

Chastise Teoscar but not Espy. You shouldn't swing at balls just because the Ump is incompetent.

That's fair but if the ump is going to give that call every single time, do you just pray he doesn't call it that one time or do you protect/grit it out?

Hmmm. Hopefully they just give him the day off tomorrow night + the offday and he’s good to go.

Your suggestion is that they should swing at anything 5" off the plate just in case?

It wasn't 5" off though; it was off the plate but much closer than a lot of pitches the ump gave as called strikes.

Now we can all agree the ump is s*** but would you rather K there looking (when its that close to the zone - cause very good chance you are going to get rung up) or try and make contact and see what happens?

Sucks either way.

If you have a good approach, you can sleep at night knowing you controlled everything in your power. If you start swinging at bad pitches because of the Ump, then you create bad habits that bleed into future ABs.

True, ump just sucks. Ugh.
