jump back, make a good throw, pitcher catch it and tag him. A lot can happen there that earns a needed run and if not, you got Espy leading off

With a good secondary and if took off immediately, i think he scores also. The ball didn't exactly bounce right back to the catcher and he would have had to make an awkward toss to a moving pitcher.
