Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 f*** the Rays... And f*** Keer Meyer.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 ******** that he didn't know it was his. He picked up it and looked back at the Jays dugout to see if anyone noticed.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Cheating is part of the game And Houston was throughouly applauded for it weren't they? Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens....first ballot Hall of Famers.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Pretty blatant case of theft.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Ban cheat sheets while on the field. Seems like an easy fix.
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Author Posted September 21, 2021 Rays are about to go off today with this new insider info.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Kinda s***** of Kiermaier in general, but I'm of the same opinion regarding this as sign stealing (without technology). Don't like it, encode it better or don't use them. Also, I'm willing to bet a lot of teams already know what's written on them. Somewhere there's a camera pointed at them. In fact, it would be rather smart of a team to "accidentally" drop a decoy...

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 I think the issue is...they refuse to give it back I'm sure everyone on the Rays already has a picture of it anyway, so big deal.

IF you have access to a paper with the plans of how you're opponent is going to pitch to you, that is a huge advantage. It is like having access to the answers of a test during an exam. God knows what else was on that sheet.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Isn’t this basically like stealing company secrets from an employee? Pretty sure that’s illegal

God knows what else was on that sheet. I didn't say it was the same. I said I have the same opinion of it. The Jays took it out on the field to gain an advantage. The Rays gained the advantage from it instead. As I said, it was pretty s*****, but personally I'm not up in arms about it.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 I'm sure everyone on the Rays already has a picture of it anyway, so big deal. So its like giving the jays the middle finger...yeah they are gonna be pissed

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Rays are about to go off today with this new insider info. If the Jays are mad now, imagine how they'll be if they get destroyed tonight
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 It’ll be fun if we end up getting swept by Tampa and miss the playoffs. This will become a big narrative in the offseason if that happens
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 I think the issue is...they refuse to give it back Exactly. I don't have an issue with him picking it up. But when the Jays figured it out and asked for it back, give it back.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 It’ll be fun if we end up getting swept by Tampa and miss the playoffs. This will become a big narrative in the offseason if that happens Ya. Funnnn.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Isn’t this basically like stealing company secrets from an employee? Pretty sure that’s illegal If the employee dropped it and you picked it up, not really stealing... Until they ask for it back and you say no. Then that's a different story.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Also we already knew KK was an asswipe based on how he treats his own teammates
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 If the employee dropped it and you picked it up, not really stealing... Until they ask for it back and you say no. Then that's a different story. Wrong. If you have something of value that doesn't belong to you, its theft. Doesn't matter how you acquired it.
keggy Verified Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Is it stealing? Maybe. Unsportsmanlike? Probably. One thing I do know, the Jays and every team that does this are dumb f***s for printing out such sensitive information.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 It’ll be fun if we end up getting swept by Tampa and miss the playoffs. This will become a big narrative in the offseason if that happens Nothing about this scenario sounds fun at all : (

bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Lol, wouldn't be surprised if they send it to other teams. Not like they want to see the Jays in the playoffs.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 This is not even close to using cameras to steal signs or steroids lol You said cheating is part of the game. Now if you want to provide a chart that outlines the degrees of cheating then we can talk further and that's fine.
