Has Montoyo ever gotten ejected? I don’t think he’s ever gotten out of the dugout to argue anything to my recollection.

I honestly don’t know how the league continues to allow this umpiring to continue. It’s horrible for baseball and I’d say the same thing if the calls were revered. No one pays to see the f***ing umps determine the outcomes of games. If robo umps aren’t part of the next CBA, then someone f***ed up.

Agree. It’s just bad for game. Regardless of who gets the calls. It’s disgusting and discredits the best game.

This is the stuff of my lifelong nightmares. That was the worst f***ery I’ve ever witnessed. I hated that series and that topped it off.

Yup, and not surprisingly no one talked about how the Jays got screwed that game. I believe there was also a home run that shouldn't have been a homerun.

Only time I've seen him get ejected was when the ump didnt let him make a video review call because he took too long..

Never to defend his players

Holy f*** this is one of the worst instances of watching a team get shafted by an ump I've seen. Not only were the Jays pitchers getting squeezed all game the Rays were constantly being gifted extra strike calls. The 9th was the worst as strikes were called several inches down, several inches up and several inches off to the side of the plate.

The Blue Jays batters had at least five ball calls stolen from them and called strikes. The Rays hitters only lost one.

The Blue Jays pitchers had at least five strike calls stolen from them and called balls. The Rays pitchers only lost two.

The Rays had 3 calls go against them all night. The Blue Jays had 10 calls go against them.

Almost all of the calls that went against the Blue Jays were in high leverage.

All five of the balls that were called strikes against Blue Jays batters took place in the 8th or later (two in the 8th, three in the 9th).

I can only imagine the kind of calls we'll be witnessing against New York.

lol. Remember the Brett Gardner "walk" that preceded the Aaron Judge homerun a week ago against the twins.

Charlie, Wilner no one seems to care. Maybe it was just random....

Part of me wishes they'd all go bat-s*** crazy 'it's a f***in' conspiracy' just in case it was to let them know we are on to them and gonna call the feds and the fbi and it will be a big scandal.

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Never worth the fine. Isn't the high-right side of the plate both Jansen's and Kirk's biggest framing weakness? Not to piss on a conspiracy theory anti-Canadian pity party.

Ron Kulpa is the same ump that allowed Conforto to stick his elbow over the plate for a walk off HBP Edited by JFD

The hard part about watching Shane Baz is realizing he is what we all wanted Pearson to be.

That trade is unbelievable.

Here is what I imagine

TBR: Assign their high performance team to analyzing every at bat of Rays vs. Ray, Manoah and Berrios and spend week working with coaching staff to adjust. Already seen them much better against Ray. Next up Manoah. Expect grinding annoying at bats and a few runs.

TOR: Charlie: That Drew Rasmussen guy was sneaky. We'll get him next time. Expect Rasmussen to go 7 shut out instead of 5 this time. Rays will feel comfortable pushing him a bit further to find out what happens 3rd time through the order.

(What I imagine is probably not reality, maybe Jays high performance team has some adjustments in store too.. we will see)

Baz looks like he has more upside than Manoah to me. Not saying Manoah isn't good, but..

He throws harder, so that's sexy. He hung several breaking balls he got away with. Manoah's flash is the slider. When his slider is working, he's extremely tough.

That doesn't explain the absolute ******** in the top of the 9th.

Umpire scorecard basically confirms that the Jays had a game taken away from them (or at the very least, considerably altered in outcome) in the middle of a playoff race.

I guess Ron Culpa really can do whatever he wants.

Wilner thinks it was nothing against Jays, he was just tired and wanted to go home. Rays vs. Jays, if Jays did go ahead 8-6 Rays would tie it in the 9th, 10th would be full of runner on second ********, Rays would win in the end anyway, and Culpa would have to be there 90 minutes more.

If he doesn't want to do his job he should quit.

Upside comparison isn't even close IMO. Baz could be the next Gerrit Cole as soon as next year if they let him loose and make 32 starts. His stuff is absolutely elite and his command is above average.

f*** the Rays man, they just keep making stud pitcher after stud pitcher. Snell to Glasnow to Mclanahan to Patino to Baz... and thats just in like the last few years. Before that you had Archer, Price, Shields. It's f***ing insane how good they are at developing pitchers.

Im done with Mlb and their cheating umps.

Will watch again with robo umps

Jays can never beat a stacked deck,it happened tonight, could happen in the world series.

Out.......

If that’s the logic, what makes you think the robots won’t be rigged?

What also sucks is they have also found some offense

Some of Wilner's reply guys suggested they have another Ump crew take over half way through the game to avoid the tired ump ending the game early.
